Its the cheap shot plan! Give everyone a task that interferes with each other. Then have unity go nuts and thus kill the underground president thus ridding her of a foe. It like setting up a bunch of dominos and then pushing the first block and letting the picture/fun begin.

The girl who’s undead
Has a sound-based weapon!
Nick burned it for her,
And it’s on CD …
It’s melting your head,
It’s a sound-based weapon!
Your brain overstrains
Ev’ry ar-ter-y!
Gavotte said,
The mission of Nick’s for today is to mix
Up this weapon of noise!
And when it is done, it’s for Unity, one
Of her fa-vo-rite toys!
Now Sweetheart must see how to stop Unity
On this worst day of days …
She’ll look into this,
Just as soon as she’s sure of her raise!
Acoustics are sick
In a sound-based weapon!
Nick worried a bit,
But it still got done …
So why, then, did Nick
Make a sound-based weapon?
He hates ev-‘ry-one!
So ultimately, what Gavotte has requested is a brown-note CD and detailed reports on two of the species. Tip was writing on the Amish centipedes. A sonic weapon might also be useful against the crystals at the right frequency, though so far we’ve only seen sound annoy them and drive them insane.
That leaves two questions I have right now: does gavotte want to help or harm the species she’s asking for detailed reports on, and which species did she request a report on from the DoI?
I think this is all just a passive-aggressive exercise in team-building, whereby Gavotte will get everyone after the files in the same place and then have them “bio-disabled” until they get over themselves. (Nick, I guess, can step in over audio and mock them for added effect.)
Dawn French and Hugh Laurie!
Recognize the General, but can’t remember his name.
Was the guy in the straitjacket, Kenny Everett? Or that guy from “My Name is Earl!”?
Not that surprising, really. Nerd cred is a strange thing, and depending on the… let’s call them “specializations”, you get bragging rights for watching/reading old stuff. (Of course, speaking from experience here.)
I’m glad Sweetheart has her priorities in order!
“Bio-disabling noise weapon on CD”?
So essentially a Justin Bieber mix, then.
And here I was thinking Dubstep Quartet:

I was thinking Celine Dion, but your example works, too. 🙂
I wonder if we’re picking on Canadians because Sweetheart has Canadian roots?
“Now, now, the Canadian Government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions!”

And how much conscientious then that can any civil servant ever hope to be? ^_~
Honestly, this might be considered the essence of the civil service right here.
“Burn a CD.” Anyone else would think that meant “Make copies of a CD”, but you know U.N.I.T.Y. will just reach for the matches and kerosene.
Considering what’s on that CD, that may be the best possible outcome.
I wonder who she plans to use it against? The annoying nieghbours?
Wait a minute… that CD is a powerful weapon? And now Tip has it, and may or may not be going Davenport. This can only end badly
Ahh. The basement crystals are noise sensitive. It still all fits together.
But then why would it need to be bio-disabling? Unless the plan involves incapacitating *all* the basement-dwellers. Except the robots.
And the Scottish flood waters
I suppose it’ll be a disabling weapon if you have a CD player to plug it into. But the Skin Horse group have always embraced obsolete technology…

I’m more worried whether the requests actually came from Gavotte at this point…
She didn’t request anything from the DoI. They need info on the silverfish probably because, if you recall, the DoI created them in the first place.

But unity said she had to burn a CD, does that mean she has made at least 1 extra copy?
More likely that Nick has it on his hard drive and that Unity copied it from there onto the CD.
So Nick’s a Monster High fan eh?
Between Nick being a fan of Whimsy and Jeff being a brony, I suppose that’s not surprising.
More surprising is that he’s a Dog City fan, since that show hasn’t existed for twenty years.

So is this the CD they used to drive those sub-sub-sub-woofers in that Hulk movie?
Sooo … Nick’s response of “until I remembered I hate everybody” is how I deal with everything.
Oh, okay so it either wasn’t Godot because Nick is immune to their effect, or it was Godot and since Nick is actually here he wasn’t immune to it.
