Dr Lee’s ability to inadvertently crush Nick is kind of amusing.
I’m assuming Nick believes the date is with Sergio – I can’t wait to see how he reacts to the concept of Dr Lee going on a date with Violet. He’s already aware Violet isn’t human, but will that diminish the lesbianism?
He seems to be in a fairly steady relationship at the moment, that’s been going well for a few years (dependent on relative timelines). Granted, Zurrr(Saturday strip)doesn’t talk much, but she’s got a hell of a bite.
It’s probably not advice that she’s seeking. The things that a hacker could do to the brain of a robot girl who’s given him reason to be vindictive might easily constitute Nightmare Fuel. ^_^
Well, given that he knows that said cyborg has already threatened Virginia, I’m guessing the most likely advice is to get the hotel out of there, which is probably the best possible advice he could giver her.
It says something about Dr. Lee’s life that she is talking to a cyborg helicopter from within a city of mad scientists and she is able to a) find a date, and b) find a way to find it worse than killer robots. The fact that she probably has experience with said killer robots for the comparison is only icing on the cake.
Her date IS a killer robot…
(Well, killer looks, anyway. I’m kind of extrapolating from what we know of the villainous side of her character that she’s probably also killed someone in the past…)
she called it date? sooo… what does that mean for the odds of lesbian makeouts?
See Wednesday’s strip.
thank you. correction: more lesbian makeouts?

I have 99 problems, but a Killer AI isn’t one of them.
(TUNE: “I’m Late”, from Disney’s Alice In Wonderland)
A date! A date!
Gotta help me, I’m on a date!
I’m in the loo, I’m calling you
To state, “I hate this date!”
This date is really bad!
The lousiest I’ve had!
When rogue A.I.s kill redshirt guys
This place is truly mad!
When Vi-o-let goes kiss, kiss, kiss,
She’ll have me, if she can!
Not ready for a scene like this
And so I turned and ran!
It’s such … a zoo!
That’s why I’m calling you!
I couldn’t wait to firmly state,
“I hate this fatal date!”
As if Zerhacker has any kind of helpful expertise. A disaster date would have been a major accomplishment. Seth had better success.
Seth? Really? The second date he was ever on in his life he got sucked into hell and his first date was with a dude…well, technically…sorta.
Seth said he had had other dates before the one with Dave (some worse), but this is already two more dates than Zerhacker could possibly have had.

Literal madness? As opposed to what?
Quantum madness, theoretical madness, metaphorical madness…. The list goes on! (or not, in the case of quantum madness.)
Non-Euclidean madness?
Pythagorian Madness? Aristotlian Madness? Socratic Madness?
As opposed to Sparta.
Perhaps Nick can use his (presumed) experience with dating sims to help…
Actually, Dr. Lee’s could probably do better by asking the killer AI for dating advice.
Its funny – my first thought was that he’d been playing dating sims too.
Then again – I have been reading ALOT of manga this year.

I wonder how impaired Nick would be if he talked on a cell phone while flying…
