1. Anti-aircraft _rockets_: besides contradicting what Unity said before, canon shells don’t leave colorful contrails behind. Or is this just Artistic License?
2. Good thing Unity is made of materials too soft to set the rockets off
3. I know she packed spare fists, but did she pack spare arms to attach them to?
4. Are these non-reality-blind troops? Because usually you don’t use anti aircraft fire on a single unarmed combatant (unless you’re, say, Duke Nukem)
Again, this just might be rule of funny: sometimes I think too much about these things.
I’d say that laser canons are hardly standard National Guard equipment, but then who knows what’s normal for the US military in the Narbon/Skinhorseverse?
How do you kill a zombie like her? Lopping bits off hasn’t worked yet, she just gets more aggressive. She even removed her own head once. I wonder what a direct thermonuclear strike would do?
The trick is that the body isn’t really “her”, the Unknown Classified Non-Blood Substance/nanogoo is. So you need to find a way of killing that. A thermonuclear strike might do it, through a combination of the blast and the EMP, but I’m not sure.
If she’s inside the actual fireball, the temperatures would be enough to reduce her to a plasma, which would certainly do the trick. But that’s definitely a bit of overkill: just blow her to bits with regular explosives, then squeegee up all the UCNBS/n and put it in a tightly sealed container. Safe enough until some idiot inevitably lets her out again.
Please tell me that Nick landed safely, and is not needing heavy repairs somewhere. Although U.N.I.T.Y. might be able to tear apart their equipment to reassemble him the same way she’ll tear apart them to reassemble herself.
So were the cannons.
“‘Tis but a flesh wound!”
“A flesh wound? You’re arm’s off!”
…I had worse
She has, though.
More usefully, she’s had this happen before. http://skin-horse.com/comic/else-He-wasnt/
I forget if she’s dealt with someone who was shooting at her before, though.
Arm = flesh… Ergo, arm shot off = flesh wound. QED.
Only works if you neglect the presence of bone in the arm, which is not flesh. 😛
Well I never said that it was only a flesh wound. 😉
Ooooh. Now she’s ticked. Advisement to NG: Run away!

They’re anti-aircraft laser canons (that’s laser canons for use against aircraft, not canons for use against aircraft-based lasers).
So these muppets are flashing LASERS at aircraft IN FLIGHT?!? Bag the lot of them, they deserve all they’re gonna get and more…
I’d say that laser canons are hardly standard National Guard equipment, but then who knows what’s normal for the US military in the Narbon/Skinhorseverse?
I… oww, my head… please… it’s just The Narboniverse.
“single unarmed combatant”
She wasn’t unarmed until *after* they fired at her.
She was already UNarmed… Now she’s been DISarmed.
That’s all-arming?
I think that the exit is over here.
At least the laser cannons appear to be set to ‘disarm’ rather than ‘destroy’…
oh, that was a good one.

I like how Tip is donning Bitey and displaying “vectored valor” in discretion of what he knows Unity is about to unleash…
As for spare parts, Unity has a whole platoon full waiting to be harvested!

As long as she loads up on brains so she knows how to reassemble him.
Might be more fun to see what comes out if she doesn’t.
