Hmmm… If you’re spread too thin, it sounds like you need more people. IIrc, Captain Victoria Waters has a ship and a sea monster. Perhaps she can assist with fishing zombies out of the sea?
Also, did Anasigma steal Helen’s and Dave’s weather control device?
No, he just doesn’t identify with a particular negative aspect of the specific culture in question.
It’s kind of like how as a Jew, he might just as easily complain about certain negative things within that particular culture – for example, the stereotype of Jewish parental control issues / unreasonable disapproval. (“Are you trying to break your poor mother’s heart, messing around with that awful shiksa, Virginia? You should find yourself a good Jewish girl to marry already! What, do I have to have one foot in the grave before you give me grandkids? Oi vey!”)
Negative aspect of the culture… I should just assume Nick was kidding in the last panel, better than going into yet another debate about Gamergate and co.
The thing that tipped Nick off that he wasn’t in the real world was that everyone was being polite on the internet, so he’s definitely familiar with that aspect of life.
Also you-should-marry-a-nice-girl-and-give-me-grandkids and you-shoud-marry-a-Jewish-girl are two independent parenting issues, and one can definitely exist without the other. Though I suspect the first isn’t very distinctively Jewish.
BRGR: From panel 2? For some politicians, having a steady stream of crises to call on is an excellent way to guarantee their continued (political) survival.
It helps if they’re the sort of crisis you don’t actually have to do anything about until you’re ready for them, of course.
He means the other Florida zombie community. The retirees are used to hurricanes by now and have moved inland. The zombies are slower, and can’t catch up.

Dr. Lee already had plans. Somebody in-house probably built one for this strike.
“Metal-hurling Hebrews” is a good compliment/insult. Depends on the context, I guess.
It’s worked for us against everyone but the Romans so far.
Not true, Nickster–we gamers throw dice at people when things go wrong, nyao. Except when things go really wrong, in which case we throw rulebooks.
You’re confusing gamer types.
He meant the videogamers kind of gamers.
There is a difference?
There is, indeed, a difference.
Rather large one, at that 😛
I didn’t expect Nick to be anti-gamer. Did he stop playing games at some point ?

Phrase the second as “you should marry one of *our* kind”, and it’s not distinctively Jewish at all.
Fictional characters are often the hand puppets that say whatever their creators want them to no matter how O.O.C. it might be. 😛
Ooh… Tip likes hand puppets!
Nick is broad spectrum antisocial. but here he’s clearly referencing Gamergate and being quite snarky about it. Good on you, Nick!
Unfortunately, the kind of behavior he’s referencing started before the idiocy which shall remain unnamed and has continued since.
It doesn’t seem like an effective survival mechanism at all.

I feel like something had to give when he literally started identifying as an attack helicopter.
Not an _attack_ helicopter—Nick’s a pacifist.
And this is why Nick is my favorite character.
“Keep your _pretty_ head on the Jersey mission.” The censor program seems to have developed a sense of humour.
And you can be pretty certain that Tip missed it.
Yeah, that *lipgloss* can be amazingly numb to nuance.
Maybe it’s flirting with Tip.
Oh, Nick would just LOVE that!
Nick’s punchline in this one made me sad. Just a little too on the nose.
“The Florida zombie community.” They’re called *retirees*.
He means the other Florida zombie community. The retirees are used to hurricanes by now and have moved inland. The zombies are slower, and can’t catch up.
On the other hand, zombies probably can’t drown.
This is full of win. I am going to have to start referring to myself as a “metal-hurling Hebrew”.
OH SNAP, NICK!
