But you won’t hear from mad scientists
Don’t wanna learn about science that you don’t understand
You got no fear of the underdog
That’s why you will not survive
Nick strikes me as one of those people who feel like they have to carry the full weight of whatever the current problem du jour may be, and in this case, that’s a pretty big burden. He needs to learn that worrying doesn’t solve anything. Then he can focus on where he’s at right now, and on what – and who – is right in front of him.
To be fair, he *did* confess to availing himself of the X-ray scanners built into the Osprey. Which didn’t *surprise* Ginny, just irked her (more at her lead-lined undies expense being rejected than at Nick, I expect!)
If the silverfish were still in the basement, it would be bad, considering the basement was flooded. And I doubt the basement came with them, what with being buried in the ground and all.
Can today’s song be to the tune of the Underdog theme song? (Yes I know that’s a lot of syllables/notes)
When Anasigma springs their plot
To save the human race’s lot
So we can pay them all we got
In gratitude or we’ll be shot!
Call Unity! (Unity)
Unity! (Unity)
Nanite goo reanimated
Punching foes until she’s sated!
Mr. Green will fear the name of
Unity! Our notary!
Mr. Huber beat me to it fair and square, but having worked on this for 40 minutes I’m inflicting it on y’all anyway 🙂
When Mister Green’s cyber goons arrive,
To neutralize the Dead and Live,
And on their prey do swoop and dive,
To that scene our Hitty does drive—
ANNEX ONE!
(annex one)
ANNEX ONE!
(annex one)
Speedy walking, flicking louses,
In 3rd person Hitty announces,
Annex One,
ANNEX ONE!
For a second I thought this was the Nextwave theme song, but then I looked up and saw it was Underdog.
But you won’t hear from mad scientists
Don’t wanna learn about science that you don’t understand
You got no fear of the underdog
That’s why you will not survive
No, you’re not, Nick. You haven’t even made a move on her.
Ginny’s got the right attitude toward this. ^_^
So true! I wish Nick weren’t so oblivious… (I mean, she’s looking RIGHT AT HIM!)

Yeah. Nick’s never so much as copped a feel. Even when he caught her as she was falling off the building, he grabbed her by the sweater.

And in universes powered by narrativium[1], the Scrappy Underdogs win nine times out of ten.

Only of they’ve got a one-in-A-million chance.
Seven or eight weirdos with a walking building against an army backed by a well-entrenched shadow government . . . Yeah, they got that chance covered.
Dunno whether the robots will be joining them…dunno if the silverfish are still in the basement.
If the silverfish were still in the basement, it would be bad, considering the basement was flooded. And I doubt the basement came with them, what with being buried in the ground and all.
The greater the challange, the greater the chance for failure. That is why I have always failed.
“And we never failed to fail; it was the easiest thing to do. You will survive being bested,,,” etc. Crosby, Stills, and Nash
Narrativium does support them, after all. They’re nominally the goodies (or at any rate substantially less evil than AΣ) _and_ the underdogs.
