Since the winner attains admission to Aimee’s VR World, Monstro can’t be the “reigning champion”. It doesn’t seem fair that Monstro gets to START at the final level – unless Monstro is an exoskeleton for Mistycorn…
The first answer that popped up in my head for that is “Foot”. But it can’t be, since it’d mean leaving Zeta behind, and he wouldn’t do that, at least willingly.
What if Monstro is a Zeta-Foot tag team? Ain’t no rule says a competitor has to be just one person. (Though maybe if they’ve heard of Ramshambler and Hitty, there might just be a rule.)
Knowing him? Something bad happening to Dr. Lee, probably. He’s been showing himself to have no fear for himself since pretty much his first (physical) appearance.
Clever, but no. That would be Nick’s dream, but it’s not a bad one. You might say it’s his biggest nemesis, because he hasn’t mustered the courage to face it.
Nick’s unfair advantage is that he’s Mistycorn’s best friend and that Aimee, Nick’s female counterpart, is the woman Mistycorn loves. No matter what show Mistycorn may make to the contrary there is no way he would willingly hurt Nick either by action or inaction. ^_^
Technically it is a simple machine, so it might get (great) grandfathered in, but I doubt it would have the intelligence and will to fight alongside everyone here.
Wednesday, eh? That is one dramatic fusion-pie full of energy building up. Might take until Monday to see the rabbit/foot/killbot/self/etc actually leave the box!
This is truly Serious Business! ^_^
That “OH WAIT” is either abject sarcasm, or Nick just had an epiphany.
I’ll go for “What is sarcasm” for $1000.00,Alex!
Since the winner attains admission to Aimee’s VR World, Monstro can’t be the “reigning champion”. It doesn’t seem fair that Monstro gets to START at the final level – unless Monstro is an exoskeleton for Mistycorn…
And if the Baron gets to use an exoskeleton, then so does Nick.
Which would conveniently put paid to the mysterious “paramilitary group in the woods” as well!
When the crate opens, will we talking about how long its been since we’ve seen . . . ?
The first answer that popped up in my head for that is “Foot”. But it can’t be, since it’d mean leaving Zeta behind, and he wouldn’t do that, at least willingly.

It can be a tag team, but they both have to be Machine Union, and Zeta couldn’t be. I’m ruling out Foot on account of the size of the box anyway. 🙁
She could claim that they constitute a cyborg and be eligible.
Yes, she was very specific about “being one with the Foot”.
One of the killbots maybe?
That’s such a good idea it should be Destroyed!
And by “destroyed”, do you mean… destroyed, or destroyed?
Destroyed.
I’m changing my choice to Bubbles, but it won’t be a surprise if it is a killbot, or even Lovelace in a cyborg body.
Why do I have a feeling that they are going to go full “Monty Python” and Monstro is a small, cute furry but deadly rabbit?
I just have this unshakeable feeling that that crate might turn out to be a whole lot larger on the inside…
They already did that bit with Cammy.
Ten bucks says it’ll start out the size of a toaster, and then start unfolding . . .
That crate contains Nick’s greatest nightmare, just as he imagines it …
Or
The Little Prince’s Sheep, just as he imagines it …
Either way, the crate is very Saint Exupery.
BTW: What -would- be Nick’s greatest nightmare?
Knowing him? Something bad happening to Dr. Lee, probably. He’s been showing himself to have no fear for himself since pretty much his first (physical) appearance.
Or worse, something bad happening to Dr. Lee because of something he did, resulting in her hating him in return.
Mr. Green, holding up Dr. Lee’s brain in a jar, proclaiming “I go home to her every night!”
Nick’s very worst nightmare:
What could it be?
Saying “I love you”
Down on one knee
Before Dr. Lee.
Clever, but no. That would be Nick’s dream, but it’s not a bad one. You might say it’s his biggest nemesis, because he hasn’t mustered the courage to face it.
Dr. Lee walking away, muttering “I’m done with you.”
I think it is Nick’s chopper body, just minus a brain to power it
nick has to fight himself
and as a side note i always thought Nicks theme was “airwolf”
as played on the flopotron
That could actually fit very nicely with the “Nick is the Tin Woodsman” line of thought.
It may fit the Tin Woodsman theme, but there’s no way it would fit in that crate.
Whatever the villainous crate spews forth, I presume that this will be Nick’s
FIRST REAL test.
Popcorn, anybody?
I’m hoping it will reveal Nick’s “unfair advantage”!
Only if it’s not from Moustachio’s tins…
Can a crowbar be a member of the Machine Union?
Technically it is a simple machine, so it might get (great) grandfathered in, but I doubt it would have the intelligence and will to fight alongside everyone here.

Say, since Monstro is inch-inching towards Nick, does that mean Monstro isn’t metric?
It only means the Baron isn’t, since he’s the one pushing the crate.
