It was probably Monday, because on Tuesday I remember editing the TVTropes page to include it, and I can’t believe I’d have noticed straight away. Maybe it was last week.
(Possibly the most obscure kidlit ref yet; not only wasn’t there a Tropes page to link to for book or author, there isn’t even a Wikipedia page! I eventually linked to the Wikipedia page for the book it’s a sequel to.)
Probably weird blindness. They might see him as a seeing eye dog, or as a normally dressed dude. Or an inanimate stuffed alligator. Each person in the restaurant might see him differently, even.
Woo! So awesome.
Thanks so much Shaenon!
Didn’t notice if it was yesterday or the day before, but the chapter title changed from “Be the Jeff 2017” to “Ghosts I Have Been.”
(And just what is the zombie hand doing in the bathroom?)
Manicure.
Remy implies that he and Brian have separate bathrooms.

Now I need to find that book. Read it a million times as a kid.
Might be time for “delete file” there…
Y’know, the diner they’re in doesn’t seem to mind him being an alligator. Lot of them, it’s “no shirt, no shoes, no service.”
Maybe he has alligator shoes
They’re made of alligator skin at least

How does a zombie hand go to the bathroom? What are the mechanics of it?
I don’t think I want to know.
It’s not often I genuinely laugh out loud at a comic but this one succeeded in making me laugh.
One wonders what a zombie hand could be using a bathroom for.
And then one ceases to wonder lest they find answers they do not want.
