I’m thinking she must have related a plan to use the tranceiver to restore his Osprey mode, and he’s feeling rejected, thinking she feels no attraction to him “in the flesh”. While she is sacrificing her dream to give him what she promised… (“O Henry”)
Offhand, I’d say that it’s time for Skin Horse to start thinking about who they have for allies and potential allies that they might call upon for help. Possibilities include:
1. St. Charlie. It’s possible that in time of combat they could be a menace to
someone other than themselves.
2. Emperor Norton and the Florida Zombie Queen. Both those kingdoms do seem formidable and neither ruler is stupid.
3. The Institute – Actually a foe. But I suspect that a successful “Free all the prisoners” raid might allow the recruiting of a few Madboys and Madgirls.
4. Sweetheart’s pack – Not likely but worth trying.
5. Whimsy – Seems to understand the concepts of favors owed and would quickly see that marauding cyber armies are going to be bad for business.
6. Lovelace and her female posse. Nick would have to be the one to approach her.
I’d suggest both Madblood and Davenport Labs but I don’t think anyone in Skin Horse even knows that either exists.
Are there any other potential allies Skin Horse can try to appeal to that people can think of? o_O
There are a few thousand sapient non-humans all across the country. As long as they still have the hard copies of their files from the basement, they should be able to contact at least most of them.
I’d suggest spreading (dis-)information that would cause the A-S units to start fighting against each other, while the Skin Horse crew boogies out of there rather QUICKLY.
(Tip can teleport, given the right circumstances; maybe it’s time for the whole Skin Horse crew to “make love, not war”.)
Nick’s a proper “let them be hoist by their own petard” pacifist, not an “if I’m not physically doing the murder it’s technically not my fault” pacifist. I really doubt he would make them decapitate each other using any method more direct than dodging a swing.
Yeah, yeah, Nick… But what did she tell you about what’s in your head?!
“Dr. Lee” – my, so formal! Nick sounds irked…
What *else* did Virginia share with you, Nick?

And kung fu grip!
No worries Nick. You’ve been disembodied before.
Dat smiling Sweetheart <3

Tip and Artie know each other quite well. 🙂 That said I’d be surprised to see them here.

Nera and Jonah know lots of people, and how to get in touch with them, and so should be able to assist with the making of alliances.
It would be a kick if Nera’s mom outranked Mr. Green in the shadow gov heirarchy!
BTW, I just gotta ask. What would be the difference between special head-lopping action and *ordinary* head-lopping action? O_o
Just means they’ll be able to perform a bris if necessary.
An excuse to add on to the price, like a decent radio or air conditioner.
Die-cast instead of plastic.
With special head-lopping action, they don’t merely chop… they add a little flourish as they swing the axe.

When those three hundred armies ask for asylum, where will you put them? Annex One must be nearly full up now with the robots…
300 “armies”, or “soldiers”? Soldiers would be bad enough, but how many soldiers in each army?
If “armies”, where has asig been housing them?
In the cyber bases Nick and Ginny were talking about a few days ago.
By the way…that outfit doesn’t flatter Tip. Multicolored stripes? Ew.
Sweetheart, when have you ever had a boring routine? Things tend to go sideways on a regular basis. So a new crisis would be normal.
This is fine. Nick can just command everybody to lop off the head of the soldier to their left.

Nick, I think you mispronounced “Hell yeah, Dr. Lee”.
