Yeah, that was my thought. I would think Sweetheart would have Tip advising Hitty, and Unity out in the field. Although Tip can be a badass when properly motivated, it takes a pretty extreme situation to put him into full-on hero mode.
This is a bad idea unless Sweetheart is along to provide at least some restraint. Sending her unsupervised into an area full of aggro intelligent machines and next thing you know radioactive shrapnel is raining from the heavens.
Anyway, Unity’s busy trying to dissuade Hitty from doing anything too silly.
Tip’s not a bad choice, as finding out what Monstro is doing with itself doesn’t sound like a task which depends on physical resilience. Maybe he just needs to ask it.
Whether the task requires physical resilience kind of depends on whether Monstro can be reasoned with. If it is programmed only to attack, it would certainly be better to send in someone who’s already dead. And since we don’t know what’s in the crate at all, it would probably be best to send Tip and Unity in together, and let Sweetheart keep Hitty company.
Tip, a black miniskirt over tights should balance the bulk of the fleece top. Don’t zip the fleece up all the way. Don’t worry about the color of the skirt. Within ten minutes, you’ll (A) be covered with mud, (B) have your clothing torn to shreds, or (C) will have removed it yourself, “stripping for action”. Just be sure to put some machine oil behind your ears, on your pulse points and cleavage, and bring your Therapy Puppets.
Not a good idea to send out Unity unless there’s lots of brains for her to eat first.
Poor Sweetheart. Even after proper preparation, it’s still a crapshoot. Yet what chance does THIS have? When the team is right, you MUST put them into contact with the task. It’s still just training, higher-level, more intense. This unlikely crew of motley misfits gets in and mixes it up really good. Go, team. Pat her fuzzy, worried noggin.
She earns her promotion today. Gavotte presents her with the ‘worried, unsure leader’ problem, well-known to many. Solve with resolve. It’s just another test.
Thanks. I just re-read and got beyond the 2nd panel. Tripped over Sweetheart’s memorized ‘closer’, and then, Ka-boom….Tip. Sometimes Force, sometimes Friction.
am I slow for realizing that’s the third nuke?
You’d also be wrong. Hitty is powered by the third nuke.
Since when is Tip their toughest field agent? What about Unity?

Probably the hardest to chew on.
Wait till spring, Dr. Wilkin.

Depends on what exactly you want Unity to accomplish, and whether you can promise her sammiches. She can be motivated when she wants to.
When, for the love of Basement Crystals, are we going to get a Tip Dress-Up App for our mobile devices?

Tip. Sometimes a farce, sometimes for action ?
Tip. Sometimes for ass, sometimes for bitchin’ ?
Sometimes he’s cookin’ in ‘Lily’s Soul Kitchen.
Ah, there’s nothing like a great poetry recital.
