At first I thought that the Anasigma facility was under attack, but we never did confirmation that it had been rebuilt yet, did we? This could be Anasigma going on the offensive with some aggressive gardening. Also, the reporters are reality blind. Remember a certain someone’s first death in Narbonic? Orbital deathrays look a lot like lightning, don’t they? Having said that, it easily could be lightning–Dr. Lee does know how to build a weather machine, implying that others (namely, her employers) do as well.
I was about to say that the plans Dr. Lee gave to Ira were her own, and that someone else would have had to design another one, but I went back and checked, and she never said that she had designed the plans she gave him. So she may have, in fact, stolen a copy from A-Sig.
That strip also reminded me of the fact that Ira actually called her “Virginia”, indicating… well, I’m not sure exactly what it might indicate, but since he could never remember anyone who came in and out of Annex One every day, how is it that he knows her name?
Well remember Dr. Lee’s talent, reverse engineering mad tech, and that her talent is if not entirely unique, very rare. So she probably din’t design the first weather machine, but reproduceable plans, she did and most likely as part of her job. So she most likely woudln’t have to steal anything knowing how to do it by heart.
Aha! A wild plot point has been encountered! Seriously, didn’t they already show this? The wildfire torching the swamp, only for Dr. Lee to discover it in Anasigma’s basement crying to herself?
The Cypress did know that Anasigma would be coming for her (‘Looking Glass Land’), and seemed to think she could handle them if she wasn’t taken by surprise (as she was the first time). Hopefully this is collateral damage from the fight, not The Cypress herself in flames.
Journalists are really struggling lately.
And lightning? Sounds like the weather machine again. And we know Virginia gave the plans to Ira for Christmas… The plot thickens.
Lightning strikes a lotta places hundreds of times. Though I suspect this isn’t the case here.
212 times would be hundreds of times.
Ooooohhhhhhh boy. :\
Lightening strikes that often? It sounds like their union has gotten pretty militant. @_@
That’s the thing about bad jokes. They’re gone in a flash and they tend to leave scabs.
I guess the old ‘gas leak’ cover doesn’t work in the middle of a forest.

Today is Thursday, Unity.
Not at my shift, Sir Robert. My days off are Monday and (normal) Tuesday, so today is *my* Tuesday.
It’s Thursday here. We have no idea what day it is there. It might be a Tuesday.
Aha! A wild plot point has been encountered! Seriously, didn’t they already show this? The wildfire torching the swamp, only for Dr. Lee to discover it in Anasigma’s basement crying to herself?
My fear is the Cypress will be so close to death that Unity will merge with her…
