Plan B should involve a young man sticking some implement where it doesn’t belong and getting blasted halfway across the room while conveniently blowing all the fuses in the detention block.
Oh, Hai! Dr Mendoza! Here, take this butter knife…

Everybody needs something to believe in. I believe I’ll have another shot of bourbon.
(TUNE: “America The Beautiful”, Katharine Lee Bates & Samuel A. Ward)
How pitiful, that I’ve been framed
By some dumb rogue A.I. …
And I’m afraid that I’ll be blamed
When all my bosses die!
America! America!
The land that will be fried,
We must defend until the end …
That’s why you were shanghaied!
How pitiful, I’m trapped behind
These bars of energy …
It’s hit the fan, so never mind
That sexy Doctor Lee!
America! America!
It’s bad, and getting worse!
Recruiting you, I threatened to
Collapse the multiverse!
I take it, then, that Madblood isn’t involved in the design of St. Charlie? Those energy bars aren’t exactly his style (c.f. “Professor Madblood and the Doppelganger Gambit”).
Since it comes up again, I have to ask – am I the only one bothered by the use of “son”?
I know it’s not meant as an indication of relation, but an endearment of sorts.
But it feels wrong when a seemingly young woman says it.
Normally (i.e. as the prophet box (TV) says) this is used by older military guys (not gals).
(When replying, please try to refrain from spoilers. At this point there is still a lot not revealed about Violet.)
Our country tis of thee, sweet land of mad sciencery….
Wait. “This soon”? Implying that she had a plan for being framed in the first place? o_O
She expected it not planed it, though you never know.

Somehow, your comment called up all kinds of dirty images in my head.
I’m going to go have a lie-down now…
That’s only because you know me casually. When you get to know me personally, I bring the videos…
mnem
…as long as you bring the vodka.
Well it’s not a Compact Laser Deluxe…

Hmm, the “New War” in caps. Has Violet mention the Old War before?
Welcome to the New War, same as the Old War…
Well, crumbs, now I have to write a filk for that.
Mad patriotism!
There’s a lot of Mad Patriotism going around, and folks that will use it.
Has been for about two hundred years now….
Alot longer than that.
Prior to the American Revolution, Europe’s version were religious crusades both of the sectarian christian and ‘liberate the holy land’ versions.
Then the trade/colonization wars of the 14th thru 18th centuries C.E.
Today – the middle east is trying to dig out of that same morass – Religious factions migrating/mutating into political/national/corporate factions.
Now I’m imagining a very long Alot
….The person at Bee’s controls miles from here is General Thunderbolt Ross, isn’t it.
I assumed it was General Eiling. Not that there’s a big diff…
I was thinking General Ripper, but she hasn’t mentioned her precious bodily fluids yet.
‘MERICA!
I like Ms. Bee more every strip.
Seriously? You consider hyper-american jingoism a positive trait?
She’s manipulative, a liar, and would probably kick a puppy. So why do I fan-crush on Violet Bee so much? XD
