Somehow this reminds me of the online point and click game somethingamiss.com, which…I should warn you now, since the game is going to go offline in a year due to Flash increasingly breaking, I’m going to spoil the final puzzle…
…ends with a final confrontation with the villain on top of a train. Having picked up her epipen much earlier in the game (before you know she was the villain), you have to hit her with a bowl of peanut noodles you have been carrying around since the beginning of the chapter.
Kind of bummed this game is going to disappear. I really enjoyed it back in the day.
They were on their way back from Vermont when Nick picked up Jonah, Shelby and Nera. Even if Tip only gave Tremontino the wardrobe he packed for the trip, they haven’t gotten back to DC for him to go home and change yet.
As someone already mentioned the other day, Panoptica does not wear any underpants on the outside of her uniform. Her uniform is just the unitard, boots, gloves, and the mask.
Skin Horse only deals with sapient non-humans. So far, we haven’t seen anything indicating that this thing is sapient. We can only say with a fair amount of certainty that it is, in fact, not human. So it’s not terribly surprising that they don’t have a file on it.
Then again, the post may have been lost in the system. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time one showed up several hours later, but still said that it was posted at 12:01am.
“Awesome” is not the same thing as “cool”. Tip’s not cool, he’s chic (well, at the moment, he’s not that either). Unity’s not cool, she’s badass (okay, technically, she is “cool”… but only in the “body temperature” sense). And Sweetheart’s filing system? That definitely doesn’t make her cool. That makes her the biggest nerd of the bunch.
So they *did* remember how all this started. I was beginning to wonder.
“Less cool”? Perhaps. Completely necessary? Absolutely.
For some reason, I doubt that Skin Horse would be all too happy to share that secret data on their clients with a private agency tasked to kill them…
And then I remember all those hints about why Skin Horse was originally founded.
Which ones in Particular?
Offhand, I can only recall one hint regarding the founding of Skin Horse, and it didn’t say anything about the “why”, just the “who”.

“Uncool”? They’re wellfare agents. That’s about as unglamorous as you can get.
I see your welfare agents and raise you IRS (or if you need a supernatural one, then the IRS as a cover for warehouse 13)
I dunno, depends on the division. The IRS actually busts a lot of drug dealers. Besides, remember who took down Al Capone.
The most cool agency has an aircraft carrier *iceberg*
Panoptica is not affected by the Tip Effect? Not even a little?
Why is Tip still in un-drag, anyway?
He said that he traded his entire wardrobe to Tremontino for the suit. I think it may literally be the only clothing he owns.
Tip may have traded his entire wardrobe, but there’s always time for clothes shopping. Right?
It’s possible that he’s decided that he really likes that suit. ^_^
I don’t think they’ve been anywhere between Vermont and the Habakkuk, so, no there actually hasn’t been time for clothes shopping.

Must be a function of her mask.
Less cool?
No.
No, they’re not.
The characters themselves are not less cool, but the agency itself is less cool – or at least might seem that way to an outsider.
Sure, like we’re going to take ratings in cool from somebody who wears her underpants on the outside.

You guys take off for Thanksgiving without telling us?

I figured they were sunk in a triptophin coma, if that’s spelled that way.
Someone needs to develop a tabletop rpg for this comic.
She started working on one for Narbonic when she was drawing that, but it never got finished.
“Less cool”?
Excuse her? I take offense. I’d take a gate as well but the boot of my car is all full of fences.
All that aside – that’s just plain rude – has she not SEEN Tip? Or Unity? THEY’RE UBERCOOL.
Don’t even get started on Sweetheart’s filing systems.
