I wonder if the werewolf virus long term exposer (due to them feeding and as a result growing larger as werewolves) has made them immune to the reality blindness but left them with latent wolf instinct that were brought to the forefront due to the madness cure.
I’m not sure the Canadians were exposed to the Cure. And remember that they were cured of the werewolf virus by injecting them with Unity, so “nuzzling someone’s head with your mouth” is a thing they just kinda do now.
He’s not distracted by H.T.’s patter, so Buddy had to step up as the sane one. Once this arc is resolved he will retire to a dark corner to let his migraine subside.
So is the lady in panel 4 a pet human for the pack, or has the werewolf virus mutated into a wolfwere virus? Option 2 is cool, but I’m secretly hoping for option 1.
I’m surprised at Artie: a mad science experiment should never be considered a success until you’ve had a few weeks to check for unwanted tentacles, rapid shrinkage, tendency to merge with walls, or gibbering insanity.
Random thought: they’re calling this “wastewater” when it’s clearly glowing unnatural weirdness – in this mad-science littered world, is it possible this is what a lot of regular sewer water _actually looks like_, and most people don’t notice because they’re weirdness-blind?
Artie has always had a tendency to let his experiments get ahead of him. And then Sisyphus has to try and catch the boulder rolling away from him down the hill. Remember Artie and Mell’s sentient yogurt?

Werewolves don’t exist for her, so she can’t be a werewolf. She just happens to enjoy gnawing on living flesh.

One of the… side effects… of the Paradise residents being injected with Extract of Unity to cure the werewolf epidemic was that they then exhibited her penchant for gnawing on other living beings.
The interesting thing is that Buddy expects obedience. ^_^
How domesticated and trained have these humans become? o_O
PUPPIES!!!
Shaenon draws *wonderful* puppies- I hope her next strip consists largely of puppies enthralled by watching Mell Kelly blow up stuff…
Oh, I support that idea so much it hurts… (or maybe that’s the zombie chewing on my head).
This seems to be a development HT will enjoy.
I’m confused. When did Buddy become smart? Sparkle was the brains until now

Isn’t biting ears Niue’s thing?

My guess would be option 1. They do, after all, need someone around with opposable thumbs.

Well, toxic wastewater is still wastewater.

Don’t let it near the sound system.
