    HITTY: “How you want eggs?”
    CUSTOMER: “Scrambled, please.”
HITTY: (proceeds to smash eggs) “There you go, scrambled eggs. OK, next guy, how you want Cheeseborger?”
    CUSTOMER 2: “Medium rare.”
HITTY: (smashes wad of ground beef into oblivion) “There you go, medium rare. Next!”

And, of course, all the soft drinks are served with crushed ice.

I wonder if one of the other two is named ‘Brunaleski’.

Though I’d also be willing to wager Mario, and Peach/Toad/Yoshi.

The mental image of Hitty doing a jigsaw puzzle is also hilarious.

They could frame it and resell it as abstract art. Help bring in some money for the department.

It’s the reactor named “Wario” that you have to look out for.

Nah, the wario reactor is just big, round, and consumes fissible material at an accelerated rate.
It also kinda smells, and costs a lot to mantain
The WaLuigi reactor, however makes no sense whatsoever

And the Eario reactor is just plain weird

The Eario reactor already melted down a long time ago, but instead of annihilating its surroundings, it spontaneously cleared them of dirt, grime and pollution.

Why do I get the feeling this is gonna be a plot point later?

Because this is the third of the three reactors to be a plot point after the one Moustachio had when he went mad (Beni) and the one running St. Charlie (Victor)?

Well, Gavotte did say she wanted the devices to power a giant robot. We’ve already seen robot combination of Moustachio and Hitty… Perhaps all is still going according to Gavotte’s plan.

Mustachio and Hittie are still cute.

      One’s Victor, if memory serves.

I know this! [runs to bookshelf] “Luigi, Beni and Victor”. Beni was the one Moustachio got hold of during his rampage. …I don’t remember if we’ve seen Victor or not! Enough wierd stuff’s been going on that I could forget a nuke.

Yes we have- it was the power source for Saint Charlie, which Unity traded for plans of a perpetual motion machine that she drew when she was smart. The team then brought it back, and Gavotte informed them that bringing the Device was one of the real purposes of their mission, but not why.

The origin of the names, according to a quick Google search, would appear to be L. Frank Baum’s American Fairy Tales, where they’re the names of the three Italian bandits in “The Box of Robbers”. Because of course it is.

Fun fact: The story also involves a pie.

The text at Project Gutenberg refers to “Lugui”—otherwise they seem perfect. And I could accept that as a typo.

By the way [for the second day running], today’s comic wasn’t in my GoComics email [for the second day running]. Hot towels and fusion reactors too much for them?

I’m calling it now. Gavotte wanted the fusion reactors so she could build a big color organ, using one reactor per bee primary color, to enhance her Gordon Lightfoot listening experience.
