Yes, in between telling the kids to stay off my lawn and criticizing their loud music played at all hours, I’m trying to Tumblr this strip, but it means putting the feed at full view.
At least with MapQuest you can SEE the incorrect route it offers you before you take it. With a GPS unit, you get the directions one at a time, so that it’s too late to do anything about the one that veers you wildly off course.
I will say that Hitty’s GPS might be one of those that takes obstacles into account. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know which ones have to be gone around and which ones could simply be flattened into a new pathway.
I do wonder how Jersey Devils interact with teenaged Goth snakes, though.
The last time I used MapQuest exclusively, it stranded me on dirt roads in the middle of nowhere—the store I was looking for turned out to be one exit down on the interstate and not on any back road, either.
After that I’ve relied more on my knowledge of the terrain—and looked for street signs and store signs…
Mustachio was designed to destroy buildings. Hitty was designed to destroy battledroids. Between the two of them, any obstacle is one to be flattened into a new pathway.
Any good GPS is going to have a route overview mode, and most of the current models will set alternate routes and a number of other things needed to remain competitive vs. Google Maps.
Now, now Moustachio, as the Good Book says “Why look at the speck of inaccurate GPS data in your friend’s eyes, when you have a huge bunch of (possibly sentient) foliage in your own eyes.” Or something like that.
ah teenage priorities.
I thought it was only a brood when the snakes are together.
Actually, one can brood while brooding a future brood.
(Reverent bow.)
And how many trees did Hitty’s GPS lead her through?
I was *just* thinking of Captain Klutz’s Klutzmobile on autopilot…
I suppose that, unlike the good Captain, Hitty considers most trees essentially as an annoyingly thick fog.
I get a kick out of Moustachio calling Hitty his “sparrow.” Such a gentleman. And Dang but that’s a lot of goldenrod.
I just got the full comic in the RSS feed, instead of just a preview. Was that supposed to happen?
It’s something we’re trying out to improve reblogability. Your thoughts are appreciated on this matter.
Reblogability?

Well, when I ego-search my own name and look into the images part, past “Skin Horse” strips come up pretty often. At least I know why they’re there…
GPS? You might as well rely on MapQuest…

Hitty/Moustachio doesn’t need to take many obstacles into account, I’ll bet.

I believe that’s why he wants to navigate.
The eternal issue for teenagers – reality is always getting in the way of a decent amount of drama.
Talk to Tiffany Aching about it, Alfie.
