Well we know that the hacker is in the ducts hacking their computers, and they’re going to go ask the computer for orders… so… it certainly seems that way.
My impression of yesterday’s strip was that the robots had occupied the others sufficiently so that Pan cannot communicate with them. So they’re reverting to their conditioning which simply says “do what the computer tells you to.”
Maybe it was intentional. Goosey’s a little excited (I know, I know… when isn’t she?), so maybe she can’t talk right. Or maybe Shaenon will notice and change it.
Hey goose lady! I assume you can see what I say in a speech bubble, since you’re looking right at me. I mean, that’s how it works from my end anyway. So I’ll let you in on a secret. September is rolling his eyes at us like he isn’t sincere. So don’t trust him. Hope this helps! Übermenscher über alles! I’m just going to assume that’s your team motto.
Since someone’s gonna do it, I should probably say, looks like I got the plural wrong. Probably shoulda checked that first. Might not be the only mistake. Anyway, hail victory and all that, we’re all rooting for you over here.
Super-intelligent people probably have the same reaction to your team that the clairvoyant ones do, Shelby. So while it is indeed a good thing, perhaps it’s not really a surprise.
Your analogy is not entirely unreasonable, but the brainwashing happened long ago, not as a result of what is on the giant screen. That’s why they blindly agree with whatever they see on the giant screen.
Which is the primary argument against having mindless drones as your underlings and minions. Someone who can think can recognize when the orders seem like they just came from someone other than the boss.
Given that we’ve seen her flying (with her tiny wings) while lifting Cinderblock, she’s obviously quite strong. And her level of ADD probably makes her an unpredictable opponent. (She’s really a lot like UNITY, albeit most of us find her less endearing.)
Since those wings are aerodynamically too small to fly at all, she might have some sort of mad pseudoscience/magic thing going on there – her lifting power may be quite unrelated to her actual muscular strength. And we’ve never seen any evidence Bubble’s humanoid body was made to be any stronger than a normal human.
Hm. Things going according to plan?

But won’t Panoptica be wise to that? Neera told Jonah the terminal’s true nature, so Pan knows that she knows.

Then again, Goosey’s comment above suggests that it’s Pan who is too preoccupied. But either way…
Good point, that.
By the by, I wonder if Pan already knew the truth behind Cerebriac.
Panopitica?
All hail The Giant Screen!

Hmmm…where’s SweetDaddy?
Emulating tip and winning by seducing the opposition of course. With his sweet lovetron moves.
Sweetdaddy appeared to be fighting Cinder in yesterday’s strip. So for now I’m going to assume that they’re still going at it.
One way or another.
Shelby appears to be following his three O’s: Obscure, Obfuscate, and Obliterate.

No, plural apart (-en, and I wouldn’t even use plural here because it’s rather a concept than a thing), looks right to me.
I wasn’t going to menschen it…
That’s not a pun you get the chance to use everyday.
Super-intelligent people probably have the same reaction to your team that the clairvoyant ones do, Shelby. So while it is indeed a good thing, perhaps it’s not really a surprise.
*cough*television*cough*
So they’re watching one of the propaganda stations on that giant screen and are now brainwashed?

Goose Girl’s a better fighter then I thought to be holding her own against Bubbles while carrying on a conversation with Shelby. @_@
She is a great multi-tasker, because she can’t focus on any task very long.
Given that we’ve seen her flying (with her tiny wings) while lifting Cinderblock, she’s obviously quite strong. And her level of ADD probably makes her an unpredictable opponent. (She’s really a lot like UNITY, albeit most of us find her less endearing.)

What’s in the upper left corner of the first panel?
One of the Killotrons (I think 2?), who was missing from the fight in the previous strip.
Be careful with that drone, Goose Girl. You break it, you bought it.
We can only hope there will be orders for Cinderblock and Goose Girl to be imprisoned because “they know what they did.”
