I _was_ wondering how Artie had been able to persuade Valiant to let him carry off his “girl.” More the fool me, I actually thought Artie had somehow managed to get through his extremely thick skull. He clearly just sent Valiant off for dumpster burritos or something before he tied up and dragged off the drone.
You can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest, honestly! It’s the honest ones you have to look out for. You never know when they’re going to do something . . . stupid.
The wisdom of Captain Jack applies to all centuries and species, apparently.
What I can’t figure out is why. Why would Mr Green give these two idiots this mission? He knows they are incompetent and will never complete the goals he gave them. I suspect he is using them to distract. To distract who and why, I have no idea. How would he even know Artie and Sergio would even be where they are? Unless he has one of them bugged…
Well, let’s put it this way….Would *you* work for Mr. Green? These are about as competent as any of his employees are likely to get because anyone who could go elsewhere probably already did. ^_^
Well, he did disengage the self-destruct…
You’d think Artie would be used to this by now.
Odd attempt at recovery in the last panel. This isn’t the first time he’s done this, is it?
Likely on a weekly basis!
Yay! I love seeing a terrible idea come together. I know this plot was worked out in advance, but I still feel served.

Is this Rathos or d’Ratagnan?
Its Ratamus.
I will emit a “squee!” of joy if Valiant pulls an épée from Hammerspace and tosses it to Artie so that honor may be served…
Yes, he’s trying to save the damsel in distress. But he’s not exactly challenging Artie. If he were, he wouldn’t be apologizing for interrupting them.

I think it’s pretty clear that at least two of them are into it.
Well, one could argue they are of two minds.
