I think others have already commented before on the use of body language/posture to differentiate characters, no matter what they look like or whose brain is where.
The body language in this comic becomes an art form. By the 9/1/2015 comics you can recognize some characters by posture alone. I’m actually trying to tell how far back that goes.
Shaenon’s ability to distinguish between characters by personality and expression, even when they share identical bodies, shows up in Narbonic too. Her characters are really very expressive.
Now that it’s no longer a spoiler to say so: THAT explains why he’s not a scurvy-afflicted lump with no muscle tissue despite only ever eating noodles.
…it is SO weird re-reading this, Nick in his VR helmet looks a LOT like him piloting violet…
