Dr. Lee has already inspected the craft, and she has confirmed it perfect.

Inspected? Try designed. Both of his bodies.

There is generally an inspection stage sometime after the design stage. She got the pleasure of doing both.

He could’a asked to inspect the support vehicle.

      SOP requires a pre-flight checklist…

        SOP is for chumps.

So, is Nick not explaining himself just to troll him?

“You’re oppressing me by assuming that I identify as this body” – Nick, Social Justice Cyborg Warrior.

I doubt Nick really feels the need to explain his personal body identity to every person he meets. Nor should he need to for that matter.

No, not to every person he meets, but frankly, this is one situation where it would be relevant and helpful to explain things.

He doesn’t need to explain everything. He could just tell this person (whose name we still do not know) that he’ll take care of the flying bit, and that he just needs to know what he needs to know about the area.

I’m thinking, though. AGI’s invisible aircraft was apparently a jerk. Maybe there’s something in the paint.

Yesterday’s comic introduced him. He is Joshua.

To be fair, in yesterday’s comic, Sweetheart assumed that his name was Joshua. No one actually confirmed (or denied) it.

Most of the alt-universe ones matched names of the ones in the real universe (if that is the right word for it). Joshua didn’t deny it, so it probably is his name.

Unless he wants to do short-arm inspection on Nick, he should pass.

I don’t understand what they need a pilot for. Nick is perfectly capable of flying himself (without physically being there) and has been flying for a long time, so is experienced. I’m confused. :/

Not a pilot to fly them. The kind of pilot that ships take on board.

Well, a ship’s pilot does effectively steer the ship themselves.

In this capacity Joshua is working more like a navigator.

They may not realize yet that Nick is piloting himself. The people in St. Charlie aren’t exactly known for their powers of observation.

He… just said. He knows the airspace and the kind of paranormal threats they can expect to come up against.

He did say “paranormal flight risk.” Nick and Dr. Lee are operating on straight science, least as far as I can tell.
