By flying platform, do ya think Tip means a jetpack launch station? I’m also considering a cross between a UFO and a flying carpet, with or without a pilot seat.
I enjoy the ! above Tip’s head 😀
Since a couple of weeks ago he made nice with Nick—well, not as nice as the making nice he’s made with Wendy and the time portal lady, but friendly-like—maybe Nick can help him with flying instructions.
I suppose this is the part where someone might say “If he has access to a time machine, why doesn’t he just X?” That way lies a lot of dead quantum duplicates. And probably a forked timeline that doesn’t actually solve any problems in this one.
Jonah Yu’s access to multiple timelines wound up in him dying in often agonizing ways. Again, and again, and again. Took him a whole storyline to find a timeline where he didn’t die.
Besides, he could die right now and wind up back at his reset point.
Dangerous assumption. He may not even have a reset point any more. His ability to return to the reset point may have been dependent upon his proximity to the Second Gate while it was damaged and emitting radiation. Now the the Gate has been repaired – and later destroyed altogether when Mother Cypress brought down the Carbondale facility – Jonah’s powers seem to be limited to pre-cognition.
This is a more efficient version of stealing the toner – using Anasigma’s own resources against them. The problem with using mad science is that things will get weird.
I’ve been enjoying this storyline a lot as a mirror to the very early days of Skin Horse, and the DoJS returning as allies, rather than enemies, is a great twist, too.
That said… I’m concerned about *why* the Department of Jetpack Suppression has such high clearance. Is it because upper management wanted jetpacks too? I bet that’s why.
Tip now needs a much higher clearance, to move up without interference. Required by powers, two-fifty man-hours—which Tip needs despite his appearance.
Now I’m imagining the scene where Tip flies up to Nick…
I’m sorry, your request has been rejected. The time portal is critical and under absolutely no conditions is it ever to be used for sensible things.

Thanks!
It’s chain of favours again, except this time Tip’s earning them instead of paying them.

There is only one way to find out. But if it doesn’t work, he could wind up no deader than Claire and Ben, er, Dan.
Dead Daves are the enemy~
Begin jetpack training montage.
250 hours plus one gold piece per week, if we’re going by 5e rules for proficiency.

Yes . . . Problem . . .

They’re the only ones who can reach the upper shelves in the Archives.
“You thought I meant higher security clearance? For that you need to transfer to Project Skin Horse!”
Tip now needs a much higher clearance, to move up without interference. Required by powers, two-fifty man-hours—which Tip needs despite his appearance.
Everyone in today’s strip is wearing glasses! I preen…
