Panel Three
Shaenon: Nat Gertler’s books on comic book scriptwriting have been invaluable to me over the years, so it’s incredibly exciting to be included in the latest volume! Panel Three: Comic Book Scripts by Top Writers includes an excerpt from my script for The Dire Days of Willowweep Manor, with my stunningly rendered thumbnail art. Check it out!
Channing: That’s some august company Shaenon’s keeping!
“Channing: That’s some august company Shaenon’s keeping!” Hmm. Compared to the company everyone else on that page is keeping? Not sure.
Snide’s inside, so don’t hide; ride.
I’m embarassed to admit I’ve only heard of half these people (besides Shaenon, the Flash guy, the Hawk & Dove lady, the talking badger guy, and the Men in Black guy), but this sounds great.
Oh, and the Alien vs Predator guy.
Complete blank on my part, ‘cept Ms. Garrity. Probably missing some good stuff.
Congratulations! A well deserved accolade.
A “panel” for comic book strips. Ms. Garrity within it just rips. Explains why and how, for untutored right now, proud mention of her authorship.
You’re Chapter 3 in Panel Three? Congrats 😀
Willowweep got a rave review in the library magazine BookPage this month, too.
Hooray!
Congrats Shaenon!
That the teacher in your story is unimpressed by the willowy moves from the end of “Wuthering Heights” lead me to question the value of the cultural education said teacher had! I probably am now expected to pick up “The Dire Days…” in order to see how villainous this teacher turns out to be!
