Sweetdaddy Jupiter Velvet
Shaenon: This is truly amazing, but Mickey has made Sweetdaddy Jupiter Velvet out of a waffle iron, a pickaxe, and scrap metal. He is a beautiful robot spider and I love him. Thanks for sharing this!
Channing: It is awe-inspiring and a little intimidating to see weird little things that we thought up rather spontaneously, without a whole lot of forethought, take physical form in a way that clearly required legitimate careful planning to enact. Now I find myself wishing that we had come up with something easier to create. Maybe Tigerlily could have made an iconic robot…stick, or something.
This is super great, Mickey. Thank you so much.
That’ll show that pink flamingo crowd.
Hah! Yeah! π
Amazing!
That is beautiful Where’s his water cooler girlfriend?
That is awesome beyond all reckoning!
If it had been easy to build, it would be so magnificent.
Thank you all for the complements! I do have a background in electronics, software and machining, but fortunately I was in a “metal sculpture” mind frame, not a “make an actual robot” mind frame, or he would have taken years of design, testing, etc., and would likely never have gotten finished. Tigerlily is clearly on a whole other level than us mortals!
“The, uh… stuff that dreams are made of.” (If you include nightmares. π
Wicked cool!
