Cast Page: In Color!
Shaenon: Mya Applesauce was kind enough to color some of the entries in the cast page. Thank you so much! And I apologize for not updating the cast page in about a hundred years. I’m partly overwhelmed by how many characters the strip has amassed, partly unsure how to write more bios without providing spoilers.
Channing: Hey, nice work! I feel like the cast page gives the basics to get off the ground; anything more is probably better explained by the ridiculous situations as they come.
Man, Tigerlily’s pants look great in full color form.
Thought we agreed the reports on the Skin-Horse denizens were written by Ira.
Have you never heard of a ghost writer? Or dictation?
Besides, there are now several cast members with whom Ira has had little or no interaction, so he would be unable to write their bios.
(Could’a sworn I’d replied earlier…ah, well…)
What would Ira know of Aimee, or Zombie Ben Franklin, or Mme. Des Souhaits? Well, maybe something of the latter from her captivity at Carbondale, but the others…
That evaluation of Gavotte sounds like Mr. Green to me. Looking back, I wonder if Ira’s memory loss might have been deliberately induced by Ari to protect his cover identity from telepaths and clever hive minds?
Grade school was a while back, but I swear Tigerlily is driving a contraption the Cat in the Hat once drove, possibly to clean up a mess?
Yep, The Cat in the Hat, right at the end, putting everything back the way it was before the kids’ mother comes back.
And, oh! I’ve just noticed that Tip’s umbrella in the Gavotte picture is parrot-headed, tying in to the Mary Poppins thing. (The brolly and balloon combination, I’d already identified as a Winnie-the-Pooh reference.)
“You never can tell, with bees…” A Pooh quote, IIRC…
Wow! I’d never noticed Tip was holding that umbrella!
It’s a moss-covered, three-handled, family gredunza, of course.
Is that really a three wheeled one handled family gredunza?
Wow, talk about a classic! Where did she find it? I mean, I haven’t seen any at the used car lots lately.
I was thinking along the lines of a mobility scooter. I can just imagine Tigerlily trundling along at 8mph in that thing.
Knowing Tigerlily, she probably built it just from looking at the pictures in the book.
Oh I dearly miss these cast pages.
Also, Tigerlilly’s vehicle reminds me of The Cat in the Hat’s cleaning up machine.
