Cuddle Cobra by Trivena
Shaenon: Oh my gosh, look at this! Trivena writes, “Looking for something to do during isolation, I raided my craft stash and found some snakeskin print left over from another project. As a big fan of hugs, which are difficult to get under these conditions, my course of action was clear: a cuddle cobra for comfort in these difficult times.”
The cobra has embroidered scales and a wire inside so it can wrap around people. Er, snuggle them. It doesn’t have a name yet. Suggestions?
Channing: That’s all kinds of amazing, Trivena! All names are open, since we’ve repeatedly failed to establish a single quirky naming convention for the cobras.
Shelby.
and Carol.
…or Carroll.
You are correct. It’d been a long week with damaged ribs.
Thought we agreed that the eldest was Alfie-as-in-Alpha, the youngest was Meg-as-in-Omega, and somewhere in between was Merope-as-in-somewhere-in-Greek-mythology. This one must fall somewhere in between.
It’s also been canonically established that there are cobras named Timmy and Trina, though not whether those are nicknames or, if so, what their full names might be.
Persephone?
Doesn’t look much like a purse *or* a place to keep a phone… Naomi Wu uses a teddy bear for a backpack (not like she could use one as a frontpack!) so I guess this may have some possibilities…
Perhaps she’s a Fanny….

Echidna?
‘E kids a *little*…
“Cuddles.”
The Latin word for cobra is fel, so I would call that charming fella Fella.
At the risk of getting political … Sir Pence.
Huggsy?
Kai.
Off topic: In case you did not know, Moe Lane, who has been commenting here much longer than I have, has written a book and it features some of Shaenon’s artwork. 5 days left on the kickstarter. Check it out!

Good luck Moe!
OMG I kinda want one
Me too! How much, Trivena?
If I were to make more, I will have to completely rethink how to make it; you’d think a snake plushie would be simple, right? Boy was I wrong..
The simple-minded states the obvious.
Kobe.
snek! <3
Amazing work, Trivena! The tail wrapping around is very lifelike.
