Skin Horse 7 & 8 Kickstarter
Shaenon: That’s right! We’re launching a Kickstarter to print not one, but two volumes of Skin Horse! Have a look at our Kickstarter, get some books, and spread the word!
Channing: Thanks entirely to the generosity of faithful backers like you, we’ve had great success with funding our physical editions through Kickstarter. It’s been a while since our last Skin Horse campaign, and we’re hoping to play a bit of catch-up here, which I absolutely believe we can do–with your help! Please take a look and consider pledging to make these things a reality. And whether or not you decide to pledge, thank each and every one of you for being here. Y’all are the best.
This is just a brief recap of important information I wrote up about skin horse, then redacted for spoilers; probably because I have too much time on my hands:
[redacted] is [redacted] and in [redacted] [redacted] [redacted], which some people find [redacted].
[redacted] is also [redacted], or more accurately [redacted]-[redacted]; think [redacted] [redacted].
The three [redacted] [redacted] are to [redacted] [redacted]-one as a [redacted] [redacted].
The [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] is really [redacted], the leader of [redacted], the [redacted] guys.
He has the world’s creepiest [redacted] on [redacted].
Fortunately, [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]. We all know [redacted] is going to [redacted] [redacted] with [redacted], but [redacted] still hasn’t quiet happened yet. On that note, [redacted] has a [redacted] [redacted] again. With a [redacted].
The [redacted] [redacted] is exactly what [redacted] all [redacted] it was, and was [redacted] as [redacted] as [redacted] was [redacted] [redacted] to be.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Your summary is tighter than a mallard’s [redacted].
*gasp* My mother was a saint!
BrokenEye, first of all let me say, I’m sorry for your loss.
Did she die a martyr? What were her two miracles?
Did the Vatican call you to let you know, or do they make you read it in the papers?
Yay! At last!
I know what level I want to donate at, since I currently don’t have any of the printed books yet (I have the PDF copies of 1-6). But I need to wait and see what my finances look like after the first of the month.
Great! I’ll drop by in the morning and see what I can do.
Taken care of. Kickstarter made me reset my password, but I got through that.
Looks like you’re off to a healthy start.
The kickstarter reward “limited to the first 25 backers” is counting down from 100, not from 25 …
I knoooow… but now that it’s launched Kickstarter won’t let me change it.
Over 20% funded in its first hour! Yay us!
I’d love to participate but it’s really difficult to justify a pledge for two books when the shipping cost (UK) is more than the actual books.
I’ll do my traditional thing and grab a load of books at once after another publication cycle I guess.
Unfortunately, international shipping from the US is ridiculously expensive now.
Re: Channing: by the way, I like physical editions. They’re easier to read in the bathroom.
This, because I dislike being redundant.
I want to add my support, but I don’t want to register with another $#%@^*()(*)*(%&#$%^*RI(#%^$&*%&(_&(#$^^&* website. So I’ll just wait for the books to get published and buy them….
Some years, my sweetie has trouble getting me a birthday present. For the third time, I am helping her out – she will be getting me an appearance in Skin Horse. 🙂
At first I thought those were vinyl record album covers and was thinking I should look into getting that groovy Volume Eight, but that would mean getting a record player.
I believe congratulations are in order. Looks like you reached your goal.
Is it possible to buy paper copies of volumes 1 through 6?
They’re in the Store (link at the top of this page), and they don’t say they’re out of stock, so I assume so.
It is indeed possible! http://couscouscollective.storenvy.com/?id=6848
I did exactly that and have not regretted it. They were on sale, too.
