Skin Horse 8 Playlist
Shaenon: Hey, look, another playlist! What are the odds?
Channing: Aw, man, “Creature with the Atom Brain” rocks my world. “WELL, IF YOU WANT TO BELIEVE THAT STORY YOU CAN!”

Nine acts out of fifteen, but only two songs, maybe three if one’s on that Roky Erickson album I listened to once.
I must be old. I only recognized 2 of the songs and 3 of the performers
Wow, another soundtrack already? I still haven’t listened to the last one.
Eight artists and six songs. A couple other ones look vaguely familiar, but not enough to claim that I recognize them.
Doesn’t that mean we’re approaching The End?
I was hoping for the “Virtual Reality” by Rusted Root.
Mono Puff! John Flansburgh gets to be on 2 playlists in a row.
Also, should we be expecting a double-book Kickstarter some time soon?
I have the same question, Sean K. The books are lagging much farther than usual behind the comics now, so I’d be all for a multi-book Kickstarter that catches us up (or comes closer, at any rate).
Ahem.
I suspect it has something to do with the recently released Narbonic collection, and all the time involved in making that happen. I, for one, am not complaining in the least.
And if Skin Horse is indeed approaching the end, I’d be happy to wait for its complete collection afterwards.
Yay Rock Erickson! Some other good ones in there, and plenty more that I’ll have to check out.
Yay, Crow Quill Night Owls!
My own “while reading skin horse this last two months” selecta:
Dimitri – Soviet Suprem
Get up go again – Rollins Band
Join in the chant – Nitzer Ebb
Princess Carwash – Queen Adreena
Ivan’s adventures – Aram Khatchatourian
We are Stalingrad – Aside from a day
La propriété c’est du vol – Les Wampas
The Dresden Codex – Majeure remixed by Black Strobe
Burn Berlin Burn – Atari Teenage Riot
El amor brujo – Manuel de Falla
and right now:
Ranz des vaches –
Jozsef Molnar, Gerhard Foerster, Charles Aeschlimann
…
I should add that I almost always check it on the morning with the need to wake up hence sometimes brutal music
And when it’s not in the morning, I have a classical music radio on…
