Designer Robin
Shaenon: Jeff and I are at MileHiCon in Denver this weekend. Enjoy this sketch of Robin making books with my long-arm stapler.
Channing: Oh, Robin. Never change.
Well, grow up a little so you can reliably assist with household chores, I suppose.
I hope there’s a market for that.
Well, designing things is a job, so you’d have to get up in the morning to go design things. Yes I know that was the joke but I just couldn’t resist.
You could design things at home, so technically he wouldn’t have to GO to work.
Wow, Robin is four already?
“Where are you going, my little one, little one,
Where are you going, my baby, my own?
Turn around and you’re two,
Turn around and you’re four,
Turn around and you’re a sponger not going out of my door.”
Enjoyed catching Jeff on a panel, and meeting you (very) briefly, maybe we’ll actually get to talk sometime.
Thanks for coming out!
It was a blast!
I’m a design engineer so I’ve spent most of my career designing things. It can REALLY be fun.
Isn’t this desire just a manifestation of family tradition?
Realization may be another matter.
I completely sympathize with Robin here.
