October Event Cavalcade
Shaenon: Oh, man, is October ever shaping up to be busy. Jeff and I will be attending MileHiCon in Denver, Colorado from October 19-21. It’s a big anniversary year for the con, so I’m just one of many returning guests from previous years. Also in attendance will be my husband, Andrew Farago, lending his experience as the curator of the Cartoon Art Museum to panels on comics and museums.
Speaking of Andrew, on October 27 he and I will have a signing and book release party for our book The Zombie Gnome Defense Guide at Borderlands Books in San Francisco. As per my book release party tradition, there will be cupcakes and wine.
And that’s far from all! Through the month of October, the Couscous Collective store is holding a special promotion. Buy Narbonic: The Perfect Collection or any Skin Horse collection and receive the original art for one strip!
October is just the best month.
Channing: Also I was born this month. Just sayin’.

Looks like a certain someone is doin’ all the heavy lifting. Unless boxed gnomes weigh more than books.
And Robin is being ever so helpful. 😀
As a single parent – I can confirm that if he’s at least sitting STILL when he reads – he’s being excessively helpful.
There are several people (including myself) in my family who were born in October. So I have to agree with you… October is the best month!
Is “relese” spelled that way on purpose? Have Zombie Gnomes eaten the “a”?
Google Translate says it’s Hindi for “The rally”, so it’s an international rally party! Woo hoo!
Relese the gnomes!
“Please relese me, let me go…”
The missing “a” is suddenly back!
No doubt the Zombie Gnomes saw the prior note, muttered “Crap, they’re on to us!”, found the one that had eaten the “a”, shook that one upside-down until the letter dropped back out, then staged an all-night Zombie Gnome ninja commando raid to put it back in place.
I mean, doesn’t that “a” look like it’s just dripping with Zombie Gnome gut juice?
I already bought 3 of the gnomes, and one book… you *need* them, trust me!
MC Escher would be proud of how you’re carrying those books.
(Don’t forget to save some Narbonic strips for your Kickstarter backers…)
I am terribly excited to see you guys at MileHiCon. Wibble
