The Big Reveal (Take 1), week 2
Channing: Welcome back to the second half of my original attempt at the recent big reveal. I really hope you find the included content illuminating!
Once again, if you’re not caught up on the strip and are just reading this Sunday for the first time: major spoilers to be found in the link below!
Shaenon: It’s always tough when I have to be the voice of moderation, because I am not cut out for that job at ALL.
It’s hard to say what’s most alarming in that.
Oh, that is a tough question… Pretty sure it has something to do with Unity and Sweetheart, but which part?…….
“*That’s* why you kept calling me a moribund empire.”
I think of you as The Great American Melting Pot, Unity.
You really like Fraggle Rock, don’t you?
Absolutely!
Jeff, I love you for your dirty mind. I mean really.
We love Shaenon’s great drawings,
We love Jeff’s dirty mind.
We love nonhuman hookups,
Green says threaten mankind.
Oh, Sweetheart, you are the best in your breed,
As you dominate the USA while it puts you on a collar and lead.
I am touched and flattered at such poetry.
Oh, you’re touched, all right. But that’s why we love your work.
Two nonhumans “being homos together” — you’ve been holding on to that one for a long time, haven’t you.
Honestly I wish I could say I had. It’s just one of those things that came out on the spur of the moment.
Thank you, Jeff, so very much for those mental images. Bleach, bleach, where is the brain bleach…
…It’s been too long since I’ve been to a really good old-style Irish pub.
Ira really does have that quality that great villains often do, doesn’t he? Specifically, that he’s right. Not his solution of course, but he’s right that non-humans really are an existential threat to humanity, likely the greatest threat we’ve ever faced. How many apocalyptic scenarios have the Skin Horse team been required to avert since the beginning of the comic? Not to mention the actual apocalypse we saw in ‘Looking Glass Land’.
