It’s Alive!
Shaenon: Just popping in to note that my horror movie blog, Horror Every Day, is almost halfway complete. I’ve been recommending a thematically appropriate horror movie every day for nearly six months! This is the sketch I did for a recent update on Frankenstein, a movie dear to my heart and enormously influential on my comics.
Channing: Shaenon’s master-level knowledge of horror canon is a treat to read. Check it out!
“No? Well, back to the old drawing board.”
“Said-a-Give?”
“And is it also pronounced ‘Frode-eh-rick’?” -_^
Wait, it’s only going to last a year? That’s a shame, I’m really enjoying it, even for thre movies that aren’t my style. Like today’s sounded really good.
There are other genres… I’m hoping Giant Rubber Monsters is next…
I’m personally hoping for Cult Classics myself–it has such great crossover potential–Repo-The Genetic Opera, Night of the Living Dead, Army of Darkness, etc. Not to mention all the greats: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Repo Man, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Phantom of the Paradise… I would LOVE to see Shaenon’s take on some of _those_!!
Your work ethic is the truly monstrous thing here!
