Another tiny auto-fanfic!
Channing: I have been taken to task for the inaccuracy of calling my own short stories about Skin Horse “fanfic” since I am one of the co-creators of the original series, but I stand by my description. They are, both in tone and in canon-semiaccuracy, indistinguishable from fanfic. Quacks like a duck and all. Anyway, if you like, check out my very short Chris / Baron Mistycorn friendshipping fic, “Git Gud.”
Shaenon: I like to think of them as Extended Universe stories. Anyway, this is super-nerdy and beautiful, and as a bonus I always enjoy a glimpse of Jeff’s sparkly unicorn desktop wallpaper.
Does that mean we get to write fanfic, too? (‘Cause I can’t keep up with it anymore…)
You have always had permission to write fanfic!
I burned out on it in the mid-2000s (though I did a sequel to one as late as 2012). One pass through is enough, unless I get some paying commission for a “Star Trek” novel.
Besides, I couldn’t come up with anything near as funny as you guys.
That’s what I thought about Narbonic, and here I am.
Clearly an alicorn on that wallpaper, not just some garden-variety unicorn.
MI Amore Cadenza herself!
Why not omake? My understanding is that those are “bonus” stories of varying canonicity, generally by the author, which is pretty much exactly what you’ve just said.
That’s an excellent word, and I thank you for it!
“Omake” is generally used only for Japanese anime, manga, etc. Not that I think that it shouldn’t be used here, but I kind of like the term “auto-fanfic”.
I’ve seen it used in fanfiction, too. Admittedly, it was anime fanfiction, but still
I’d just like to draw attention to the KOTOR, KOTOR 2, and System Shock 2 icons on the desktop. :thumbs up!:
Respect the classics, man.
It reminds of a story by David Weber, which included (IIRC) Merlin and Nimue from the Safehold series, Dahak and Emperor Colin from the Armageddon Inheritance, Admiral Alexander-Harrington, and Bazhell Banakson. He, too, asked if it counted as fan-fiction.
Maybe it would depend if they all kissed or not?
Such a fun story, canon or otherwise!
Thank you!
If it floats like a duck swims like a duck and looks like a duck: It might be a grebe.
But do they quack?
Ah, that’s the real test, isn’t it?
It could also be a coot.
I still say candybutt is scariest pony princess.
Please, can anybody direct me to where I can READ the comic? It’s my ray of hope and cheer.(etc) When young I was in Special Forces and I thus appreciate it greatly.Appreciate? Hell, I NEED IT. Please….
I’m confused. You commented on the Prologue, which is back at the beginning, and you’re commenting here. So how can you not read it?
Hi, can you help us understand your concern? You are commenting on the main comic site which should have navigation arrows and options for seeing the various storylines. How else can we help?
