Kids. They say the darndest things.
And thank you for inviting us into your home.
You know, I had to look through the archives because I thought “no way Robin is old enough to talk like that” to find that, effectively, he is already almost three and a half.
Time does fly… Either that or Dave’s messing with his time machine again. š
And as awgiedawgie says above, thanks for sharing this funny but personal moments with us! š
Even a year ago, Robin was the most amazingly articulate toddler Iād ever met. I fear for us all once he sets his mind on worldwide hegemony.
I would welcome our new toddler overlord, if we didn’t have ones around already.
AWwww…..
You haven’t answered the real question here, Shaenon: When do you start teaching Robin Pittsburghese, like saying “yinz” n’at?
The caterpillar comment is pure gold. Also, true!k
Holy crap, BRIGHT KID ALERT. Y’all are going to have your hands *so, so* full (not like you don’t already and everything, but still)….. and I bet you’ll love every minute of it. Uh– let me qualify that last statement as “possibly not at the TIME, but in retrospect.” You should just give in and get him a tiny little lab coat now.
Also, to Robin: It probably *feels* fast to a caterpillar, though, because they have to work so hard moving all those feet so quick. I mean, they got BUNCHES.
(he made me think about it; had to reply.)
Well, it takes a sticky boy to sing a sticky song

Well, it takes a sticky boy to sing a sticky song
I’m sticky now, momma, will I be sticky long?
SO. MUCH. CUTE!!! *BSODs from cute overload*
Now I’m craving Easy Creole…
A centipede was happy ā quite!
Until a toad in fun
Said, “Pray, which leg moves after which?”
This raised her doubts to such a pitch,
She fell exhausted in the ditch
Not knowing how to run.
Awww!
