I’m not gonna lie, I miss Violet!Nick. I thought he was going to be a permanent cast member and I was crushed when he disappeared after one story arc.
Actually, I think I just want more anything!Nick.
That makes me wonder if Nick is gonna get any real screen time in this arc. I wonder how he’s doing without a good way to refuel.
He may still be organic… women may not have been in his vicinity… So aside from sneaking out for solar panels, junk food, and Mt. Dew, he could be gaming away, caring as little as ever about the world outside. Or Fearless Leader may have made him Amish…
I would’ve though, if women went crazy and started killing every man they could lay their hands on, Nick would’ve been at the head of the line. Unless he removed himself quickly enough from the situation.
Are we forgetting Geek Invisibility to Women? How many local women would even know he existed, before and during the Screwfly Crisis?
Haven’t read “The Screwfly Solution” since way back when. Maybe I should dig out my old copy of “Analog” and take another look…
The secret of cartooning is an ability to draw the same picture over and over again. (Like Unity in the Patchwork Poodle Skirt…minus the poodle, though…)

The one of Unity in a dress is rather nice. Gives a hint of a 50’s vibe to me at first glance, but with a hint of steel under the ‘fresh and pure’ image.
I love how Nick’s shirt is technically true, but not for the part people would usually consider the fake one.
Yeah, I never realized that that was syntactically ambiguous before.
Speaking of, he’s actually a “fake girl” in too different senses, since the “girl” body he’s piloting is actually just a gynoid
I especially love all the little atomic symbols…
That’s my favorite Unity outfit yet. And my favorite Nick outfit yet, what with the new meaning of the words.
“A million billion Nicks.” Ew.
That may be my favourite drawing of Nick ever, and also the only acceptable use of that phrase!
(Oops, I typed “Nicky” instead of Nick there. Nicky would be my four-year-old son. Not the same.)
