“My House is Me” Deleted Scene!
Channing: Hey, guys. This Sunday I thought I’d show you a deleted scene from “My House is Me,” wherein Nick tries to open up to Tip about his childhood history with Whimsy, with mixed results. Also, if you were wondering where Tip came up with a radiation-shielded ballgown on less than a day’s notice, the answers are found within. If you enjoy these peeks at my scripts behind the scenes, you are welcomed and indeed encouraged to contribute to our Patreon campaign at the $5/monthly level or above!
Anyhow, check out the deleted script right here. And as always, thanks for watching!
EDIT: Also, yes, go ahead and look at my desktop.
I see the last strip of the week managed to make it in to the story.
It wasn’t totally deleted, no.
This deleted scene is wonderful, really. Why didn’t it make the cut? Do y’alls end up cutting scenes often?
Thank you! It’s pretty rare that a five-strip block vanishes completely, setting and all; usually the scene at least takes place even if the dialogue is very different in spots. I believe it was agreed that it was obvious enough that Nick was into the Princess shtick and that this block of strips would come across as an attempt to reveal this fact and would thus be unneeded or awkward.
Maybe some of it could come up the next time a Whimsey character surfaces in the ongoing plot. No need to waste *everything*…
Its very good background on Nick’s mental state,
A bit darker than most of that arc tho. I could see where things could go awkward on the content, with more focusing on the fact that the original Mender fairy committed suicide.
I noticed that you use the same CPU usage widget that I used on my old WOS7 maxhine; does it constantly tell you the computer is teetering on the edge of meltdown when running just solitaire? My machine was as reliable as the Chernobyl power plant when the staff decided to play game where you act like a catastrophic idiot to the tune of reactor testing without an exit strategy for a FUBAR moment. Nonsensical rambling rocks, but it was a turd nugget nonetheless and it never made sense to me whether it was the widget itself or just my machine.
It’s actually a fairly accurate picture. I use it as a warning that I’ve done something stupid like leave a single Firefox process open for, like, a week, because I can’t be arsed to re-open a tab.
Deadliest Catch? Really?
I loved that show!
On occasion, even while nestled securely in my cocoon of rainbows and unicorns and faeries, I enjoy gazing at the spectacle of actual masculinity much as I might enjoy regarding a mighty polar bear from safely across a deep and dry moat.
Oh and Happy Mother’s Day to Shaenon
It took me a little bit to remember that Nick was driving the drone at that point. Before that, I was having fun imagining how Shaenon would’ve rendered the direction “[Camera close on Nick. he is looking vulnerable.]” with him in his regular Osprey body.
