Heh. Kind of like Norton was a “Sanitation Engineer.”
I prefer the term “differently sane” myself
I guess “crazy video store clerk” is technologically obsolete and no longer an option…
Don’t be absurd. You just need to find a crazy enough clerk. Then it won’t matter that video cassettes are obsolete, the store is long since gone out of business, the entire strip mall has been slated for demolition, the boss hasn’t moved from his office chair since that fatal stroke back in ’98 and bringing in new customers lately seems to require the use of amateur taxidermy.
Either he’s gonna have an epiphany or the stone is gonna crack and they’ll have to get out of there as fast as two teenagers can get off an archipelago 2,400 miles from the nearest major landmass.

Didn’t you see that episode of _Hoppity Hooper_ as a kid, where they drove to Hawaii in a windup car?
Now I want to see That Thing With the Swimsuit.
That was the second week of this arc. So you totally see it if you want.
Meh, only been checking in once in a while since SH went off canon.
While it’s not the main storyline or anything, I don’t think anyone said these weren’t canon.
That would be Ed Norton, Sanitation Engineer, as opposed to Emperor Norton, who was an Emperor.
This would be the cue to filk off of the Song of the Sewers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRvrj-x1lSo
Heh. True, I forgot there was a character named Norton in this comic.
Well, you’ve got to admire Jonah’s goals, if not his methods. Trying to unite everyone in peace is not the worst thing to strive for. He just is using the wrong tools.
And no, I am not thinking of a small crane to lift up the rock.
