Investigations
Shaenon: One of the pledge levels on the Skin Horse Volume 3 Kickstarter Drive, “Investigator Into the Conspiracy,” allowed backers to ask five questions of Skin Horse characters, with the answers written into their copy of the book. Some of the backers were kind enough to allow us to share the answers they received. Thanks, people!
And man, if I do this particular bonus again, it’s going to be at a much higher pledge level. These books are works of art, I tell you.
Speaking of which, need Skin Horse books of your very own? Check the newly revamped Couscous Store.
Channing: The workload was perforce made higher by some of the outrageously long multi-paragraph responses that I ended up penning. Some of these characters go on and on. Tigerlily and Unity particularly; I believe Unity went so far as to actually barge in and take over one of Sweetheart’s questions at some point.
AWESOME.
also i’ve been wondering if violet bee is somehow gavotte’s evil daughter.
We haven’t heard anything about Pavane for a while.

I can’t read the title of the movie that arrived.
It’s Ladyhawke, the ridiculous(ly) adorable movie from the 80s. It’s about a guy who turns into a wolf and a girl who turns into a hawk.
Oh wow, that is a lot more than I expected. Thank you so much for doing so much for so little. Definitely worth the extra money. For us, of course. Not for you.
Man, Nick looks WEIRD as a human. I can’t even remember without looking whether we clearly saw his face that one time we saw him in the VR sim.
Those look utterly awesome. Ladyhawke. I was one of those people who dragged their SO to see it in theaters. And it has Matthew Broderick as an utterly-adorable lying thief.
Who had the best line in the movie, to wit: “Not unlike escaping Mother’s womb. God, what a memory.”
I remember kinda liking Ladyhawke. Except for Matthew Broderick, who struck me as a waste of film. But that was a long time ago.
One of Broderick’s first lines in the movie, that told you just how unusual the character is.
As he slithers through a sewage pipe to escape from a jail cell:
“This is not unlike escaping my mother’s womb. God, what a memory.”
What sort of person remembers his own birth?
Do not question the guilty pleasure; accept the guilt as part of the pleasure. Then, you can begin to enjoy your guilt…
