Skin Horse 3 Release Party
Shaenon: If you’re anywhere near the Bay Area on August 25, do not miss the release party for Skin Horse Volume 3 at Borderlands Books in San Francisco. We will have live dramatizations, cupcakes, and wine, and my mom will be there! Details here.
Channing: There are admittedly many reasons to not want to live in California. This is not one of them. I’d ask you to eat a cupcake for me, but since this is a generally-directed post, everyone in attendance will be eating cupcakes for me, and that’s too many cupcakes. I must watch my figure, after all.
Its tempting, but alas, I live in New England. I’ll have to console myself with watching the mail for my Kickstarter goodies.
On the remote chance that Sheanon’s middle name is Beta, its probably much safer on this coast since you said Mom would be there.
May a good time be had by all attendees – hopefully some photos will make it into the Sunday specials.

One of my two favorite scenes from Magnum, P.I. (as far as my rotting brain will allow me to recall), involved Magnum going to a karaoke bar to get some info, and the bartender saying ‘sing or get out’, so Magnum sang Misty. Very poorly. Quite amusing.
I was wondering who that was in the 1UP shirt.
Darnit, I live in the UK. Also, I’ll be at the Discworld Convention that weekend. There might be cupcakes there too, I don’t know. Have fun, people who can make it!
I attended the first NADW Con in Tempe and got to meet Sir Pterry, got an autographed copy of Good Omens and had lots of fun. I think that your attending the con, aside from the miles, might be a reasonable excuse for an absence.
I’d totes come, but I moved back to Seattle a week ago.
On that note I should probably see what happened with my preordered print copy, assuming it got mailed already (to my old address).
Turns out it arrived a week ago, but nobody at the housing front office bothered to, you know, tell me. Thanks, temporary housing guys.
I plan to be there. I’m hoping for pink box wine to go with the cupcakes.
Well, golly, if my vacation had been two weeks later…ah well.
Figures. I’m going to be in San Francisco until the 24 and I can’t change my travel plans for this. So close!
Amonduul…I’ll go you one worse…I’ll be in the East Bay literally cooling my heels (because the temperatures will be a lot lower than in the rest of California…until the 25th, and I have to go home THAT MORNING. No time to leap heroically onto BART and throw myself on those cupcake-grenades. Drat.
If I lived near SF and that wasn’t the day of my father’s birthday party, I would totally have to go.
Although I am going to be in the area in September, and just noticed the Mad Magazine exhibit. Time for me to adjust my agenda for the trip…
