Shaenon: That Guy drew this nifty sketch of one of the toy robots flying its little biplane. He also provided this color robot portrait:

Channing: Judging by the “Don Quixote” reference on the wing, the toy robots are highly literate little speed demons. I must confess that all the time during this storyline, I was trying to find an angle to at least obliquely reference real-life speed demon Narbonic fan James Rice and his record-breaking Stephen Hawking-meeting ruin-exploring plush gerbil Speedy (with action spelunking action) but just couldn’t figure out the a good approach. James, please pretend there was a cameo somewhere in this storyline just for you.
