Skin Horse Soundtrack 4
Shaenon: Holy, what’s this? Have I made another Skin Horse soundtrack for myself and Jeff? I think I have! That is excellent!
Channing: Truer words have never been spoken, except for all the other times we have called something excellent and it was. This looks like a nice one.
Sometimes these playlists make me feel like Chuck.
I’m surpised you don’t have any Steam Powered Giraffe in any of your playlists. They’re the perfect band for Narbonic and Skin Horse songs.
Very interesting! I want to hear more of them.
John, I thought of SPG too, but for a different reason: They could be an alternate “Honeybee” for this album.
I thought of that too. Not a bad idea.
You might want to check out the Free Music Archive at http://freemusicarchive.org, everything on it is released under a Creative Commons. I got some techno off of it from Dissolved to use in a documentary that I made of my wife’s lunar laser ranging program. They have A LOT of different music, a few others in my class browsed it for their videos and found some great stuff.
Today is a two-fer as well – if the soundtrack follows past ones – we have now learned the cover colour for the next book.
Quick archive scan showed books 2 and 3 soundtrack colour matched the matching book-cover.
A Skin Horse No-Prize to the first person who can figure out what color Volume 5 will be, and why!
Spotify does a bit better for this playlist than it did for New Orleans, but is still disappointingly missing Use the Force. At least this time it’s actually in their library, just not available for streaming, so this might be fixed if you’re far enough in the future. Until then, there’s always YouTube. And since it seems like two links triggers moderation, a note to Shaenon and Jeff: I have similar playlists on the other soundtrack posts that I’m fully willing to take down if either of you would prefer.
Link-heavy posts hit auto-moderation due to spam purposes, but I’ve got no problem with you posting Spotify links. Thanks for asking!
