Tip by Indigo
Shaenon: Another drawing from Indigo of Kismetropolis fame, this time of Tip. And he looks stunning. Very nice work on the arm hair.
Channing: This, more than any rendition of Tip so far, really hammers home for me his ability to be appealing, bewildering, repellent and attractive all at the very same time. Meeting Tip in real life must be a confusing experience. Nicely done, Indigo. I particularly like the color choice for the bracelets; they really shine out.

Mine eyes! The goggles! Zey do nozthing!
It’s the chest hair, I think.
And then I see the gorgeous. And then my eyes burn. Cycles and cycles. Fabulous.
Brian Rogers (billionsix) says: Can’t see it. Just a little red “x” 🙁
Adam Underfoot (unnatural20) says: I think Tip is awesome. Defying stereotypical gender roles woo!
Indigo C (indigo) says:
I saw an article on all the hot red dresses at the Oscars this year, and this dress in particular made me go, “Y’know, I bet Tip would love that,” and before I knew it, I’d drawn him in it.
What’s funny is I’d never considered “repellent” as an adjective to describe Tip. Other than the manly-hair, I think he’s kind of cute. And I know the cryolab lady agrees with me. ^_^
Jeffrey Channing Wells (channing) says: The manly-hair was, in fact, the primary inspiration for my choosing that particular word. 😉
Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:
Damning with faint praise … Tip looks better in this outfit than I would.
BTW, did everyone see that Skin Horse got mentioned in Kaja Foglio’s LiveJournal? And if you don’t know who Phil and Kaja Foglio are, you are adrift in life and a sadder person for it.

Martha Mintz (muffinthamighty) says: That IS Katherine Heigel’s dress!! Ahaha!
Joseph Osako (schol-r-lea) says: Channing wrote: Meeting Tip in real life must be a confusing experience. Meh, if you meet enough cross-dressers, you get used to it. Especially if it just makes you think, “Damn, I wish I had the cojones to wear that dress”, and finish the thought before you realize the implications of it. Dunno if I’ll ever do it myself, despite all the gender- and species-bending I do with my online personas. It does indeed take balls to be a queen. (Yeah, I know that a drag queen is not the same as a transvestite. The joke just works better this way. Besides, the two categories are far from mutually exclusive.)
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says:
Joseph, I wear dresses. I’m not a full-time crossdresser, but dresses are fun! And as far as I’m concerned, the only bit that takes cahones is the. . well, the draft. Whoo!
Too bad I can;t get away with the sort of dresses Tip wears. . . I do better with ‘cute’ than ‘sultry.
Btw- Tip is freaking HOT. Between this and the pic up over at Narbonic, I may well catch the vapors.
Shaenon, are you trying to kill me?
Mikhail Borg (mikhailborg) says:
Aaron has the truth of it: rare dress-wearings are much fun. The draft can be something of a blessing on a hot day! Goes over pretty well with the ladies, too, if you know what I mean nudge nudge.
