Well, I’ve noticed the comments section on the new Skinhorse site are woefully empty, and I need a refresher reread, so I might as throw in my two bits.
I have only vague memories of the story “The Velveteen Rabbit,” but I remember finding it deeply disturbing. Maybe it was the idea that you might need to burn everything you own? Was I that materialistic is a child?
Anyway, its a good quote, and a strong start to this story.
It WAS a very disturbing story…. it gave me nightmares when I was younger
