Is this a reference to the great, and lamented, “Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire”?
One if the characters in it ended up with an eye on their shoulder after a magical attack (literally, an eyeball on their shoulder, or would that be in their shoulder? o_O )
Sudden urge to speculate here. Our Lobster friend seems pretty pissed, probably ’cause they don’t turn red till they’re cooked. Cooking them often involves dropping them into a large pot of boiling water. You’d need one man-sized to do this job.
Evidently the Skin Horse Cafeteria has a man-sized boiling pot around to do the job.
I wonder what else the Skin Horse Cafeteria could be serving that’s cooked in a man-sized pot?
Then again, the lobster was already this colour when Chris and Marcie dropped it off. Probably a result of being irradiated. My concern is that Chris was carrying TWO tanks. So what happened to the OTHER one?
Which raises the slightly nightmarish question of what other extra body parts that U.N.I.T.Y. has hidden under her usual outfits. And now I need that shot of whiskey.
And my question is answered.
And in a more creepy way than I expected…. but only slightly more creepy.
I can buy her body being able to get around, but how does her head know what’s going on if it’s detached?
(A: You’re thinking about it too much :P)
She is a gestalt entity made up of an untold number of nanobots. What one knows, they all know.
Granted, most of the time they don’t know much, but still…
Nanobot radio.
Since I Heart Radio filed for bankruptcy, someone has to fill the marketspace.
I think it’s about to be Alice time. 🙂

I love the expression on the lobster’s face in the first panel.
‘Tis not the first time Unity has attached parts to her body that had no business being there…
At least this time it was useful. Although I have to say, the cat ears were pretty darn cute.
Lobster shells are made of chitin, which produces monosaccharides upon combustion, so yes, sweet lobster burns!

First the redness, then the Bruce Banner-ing…
Oh, dear, that is a rather disturbing thought.

Did anybody else order lobster?

Yeah, it’s a disturbing thought…
