So it looks like even Anasigma acknowledges how ridiculous their evil organization is. Say, why didn’t he get knocked off for knowing about Mr. Green’s crush?
Maybe that’s related to one of the “blows to the head”. After all, when someone’s incompetence and ineptitude are as useful as E.B.’s, why kill them when you can simply jog their memory?
This is particularly memorable to me because I saw the movie after the book and it was one of the few times when I went “wait, that’s actually that way in the book!”
And in the very next spanish class, we covered the spanish equivalent (don’t look at me like that, it was really hard to get a hold of a movie in the 90s!)
British or French salute. Palm open and back. I’d like to think Echo Bravo might have joined the French Foreign Legion to forget, but he probably forgot why he joined.
Perhaps the key to Anasigma’s continued success (and lack of corruption) is not a constant turnover of personnel but ongoing memory purges.
It would go far and explain so much.
And since this is of course an immensely frustrating and nervewracking moment for the narrative suddenly to switch tracks again, that is precisely what the narrative will now do.
Dr. Englebright worked for The Institute and delivered Tigerlily to repair Moustachio. Later, she became Sweetheart’s assistant in the reinstated Skin Horse.
Echo Bravo, among other adventures, was the agent Mr. Green sent to “guard” Tigerlily, knowing full well that Echo Bravo’s ineptitude would actually allow Tigerlily to easily escape.
So is this a subtle(?) demotion or is Echo going to be the Soviet-style “political officer” within the new and official Skin Horse? o_O
All the real troublemakers went rogue.
They’ve met before.

If it comes to losing one’s memory, perhaps Mr. Bravo reminds Mr. Green of himself as Ira.
Sweetheart’s “Sanity” poster!
Oo, well spotted.
For what it’s worth, “The Lee of the Stone” is from “Mrs. Frisby and the Secret of NIMH,” if we’re still on that.
Also, for what it’s worth, it’s been many years since I’ve read it…Google is a magnificent tool for tracking down a phrase like that.

Oh no, not him again.
On that note, was one of those trainings involved Jonah?
Jonah’s instructions are probably why he’s survived all five inspections.
…interesting salute.
Either that, or he missed his forehead.
I am choosing to believe we’re seeing him midway through the Full Rimmer.
Considering all the blows to the head, I’m inclined to think that he indeed missed his head with the salute.

Oh, dear. Dr. Englebright and Echo Bravo may both be at Skin Horse now. This can’t possibly go well.
Candace: It didn’t go too well for Dr Engelbright when she last worked with Echo Bravo, but went better for Imogene Frog.
I’m just surprised that she seems to have no idea who he is. Maybe we’ll find out why this is later.

You might just have something, there, Sheik.
Did we ever get Dr. Engelbright’s first name?
And since this is of course an immensely frustrating and nervewracking moment for the narrative suddenly to switch tracks again, that is precisely what the narrative will now do.
I’ll miss Renard and #12 in the Mothership, looking around, and #12 saying, “you people are funny-looking.”
This transition is infinitely preferable to a panel-spanning announcement of “The End” 😉
I made it through the video,
Somehow I made it through.
Didn’t know how wrong I was
About my work shoes.
I’ve been beat,
Indiscreet,
It’s been bad, they were mad, it’s true.
But it made me feel,
Yeah, it made me feel.
Hoo, like some version
Multiple very worst times.
Like some version
Where I’ve been beat,
It’s so fine.
Gonna take all I can, ma’am
It sure will be a blast.
Been waiting for more to do,
‘Cause all that stuff is past.
It’s so fine,
This assign,
I’ll be here,
We’ll be pumped and primed,
‘Cause it made me feel,
Yeah, it made me feel,
Like some version
Multiple very worst times.
Like some version
Where I’ve been beat,
It’s so fine.
—from “Like a Virgin,” Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, sung by, as Ira once put it, “that horrible Madonna woman.”
Dr. Engelbright appears to be wielding an industrial strength redacting pen.
This is A-Sig after all. You’re probably right.
I don’t remember who either of these people are. One of those times when I wish Skin Horse did character tagging.

That helps, though I’m honestly still lost.
I can look up some links for you, but it’ll have to wait until tonight.
