So, they will totally lose to the sexual tension after all…but it’ll be a threesome.

Well, it was a shame about these two.

EB has survived shoe training, so he has a further roll in the Skin-Horse saga.

I don’t think killing a Narbon is going to go over well with the other two Narbons. (We all know Dave took her name)

You’re assuming that Dave and Helen would get to them before Mell?

They’d better hope that Mell gets to them first.

Mell didn’t end Narbonic on good terms with her little buddy Artie… or anyone else, arguably including herself.

In my view, she went from comic relief to the darkest character in the run.

“Mell didn’t end Narbonic on good terms with her little buddy Artie… or anyone else, arguably including herself.”

Did you read a different version of Narbonic than I did?

          • Speef
            August 27, 2020, 7:55 pm | #

In the version I read, she decided to kill everyone in the world including herself, and then she did so. The resulting timeline featured a Mell who wasn’t so different from Mell Prime.

            That’s dark enough for me.

          • awgiedawgie
            August 27, 2020, 9:16 pm | #

That’s what was shown on the video tape that the Dave’s received. But the future is always changing, so that was just one possible outcome.

At the actual end of the comic series – even though she had seen the tape – she chose to help save Dave. Dave and Helen’s daughter kept showing up, so there’s at least one potential future where Dave doesn’t turn Helen into a brain-in-a-jar.

Why does Anasigma not want Artie dead?

I think if Anasigma wanted Artie dead, it wouldn’t have sent these two clowns. No idea what it wants, but Anasigma should be more competent than this.

I’m guessing that A-Sig wants Artie to lead them to someone else, and they’re hoping that when these two fail to kill him, that where he’ll go.

And now that I think about it, it just might be Dave and Helen that Mr. Green really wants, and he’s thinking that killing Artie, or even trying to kill Artie, will draw them out in the open.

Have you ever got an envelope from Shaenon?

Who did it have doodled on it?

      Artie’s pretty safe. 😉

(Though now that I think about it, I am not sure why I think all those envelopes have sketches of Artie rather than sketches of a random gerbil…)

Artie’s stochastic skills should have tipped him off about what’s going down. Unless he wants to die in a flamboyant manner.

Sergio was not the most note-worthy rope swinger in the Narboniverse, that title belonged to a certain English prof.

And BMunro was wondering who’d be Sam to EB’s Frodo, bolstering his will against the evil they were sent to destroy. Artie and the tall sturdy one may be mutually dangerous, but Alfa Alfa will kill Artie if he tries anything.

It just occurred to me that Artie being in Skin Horse means that all of this could be said to be happening in the world of The Ratio and that’s… both cool, and weird, and honestly better than the real 2020 anyway?

Artie knows what’s going down. He wouldn’t be there if he thought there was any chance that the people with guns were going to upset the children.
