On Monday, it was a standard zombie-issue arm – so it was green. Unity’s nanites seem to restore the original skin tone for whatever she attaches, although there weren’t any stitches on the wrist on Monday. Maybe she had to get a different hand for some reason.
The nanites have programmed themselves to Unity’s preferences (see Tools:Settings:Preferences menu under the subconscious mind interface) and know she has demonstrated a liking for multi-colored appendages. So they randomly recolor new attachments at certain lengths of the limb for different skin tones, stitch patterns, etc.
If Unity, as has been thoroughly established, is constantly replacing body parts as they start to decompose, how come her face has stayed more or less the same the entire time we’ve known her?
See waynezombie’s explanation near the top of the comments. It’s a surprisingly logical, if slightly impossible (not that that matters), explanation for how she tends to end up looking the same no matter what.
Remy ex Machina? Does Remy just normally carry around a bag of body parts? I mean, he was investigating spiritual disturbances: he didn’t know he was going to be meeting Unity or other zombies, or that she’d be in need of a bunch of replacement bits.
(Maybe it’s a Bag of Holding. That way there would always be room for Voodoo paraphernalia, body parts, a change of clothes, and jello.)
Then it *is* the arm we saw Sweetheart rip off that zombie on Monday…
It’s a different colour now to Monday. It’s two different colors now!

Yessir folks, that was a great performance! Lets all give a hand to that patchwork girl!
It’s been revitalized by the nanites, I guess. Or maybe Sweetheart had to find two fresher zombies to “calm down” to get what she needed.

That makes way too much sense to be included in this comic.
Remy only needs a carrion bag when he travels.
…well, SOMEBODY had to say it!
Nice one.
Bravo!
“It’s a personal item.”
“Which person?”
“I don’t know, some guy.”
It’s where he keeps that bloody cheek of his that Sweetheart finds so insulting.
It’s the only way to fly, according to vultures.
Sir did you pack your own bag? Well .. some of the stuff crawled in on it’s own….
Well said, casimir.
Straight back to the competition, huh? I like that in a dog.
Not much of a household budget to worry about right now, since you’re not getting paid.
… I was just saying that to myself today.
Perhaps government direct deposit goes on…and on…
“Giant roaming building-based mech budget” doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
…though arguably it sounds *more* impressive.
Two arms, two arms (and legs)! The British are coming!
Let’s just hope they’re not both lefts
Sadly, if you look at panel three, there is a left hand falling out. Hopefully U.N.I.T.Y. can make do until she can find a new donor.
In the style of Bil, the Galactic Hero.
In panel 3, there’s a right hand falling out. In panel 4, there’s a left hand on top of the pile. Unfortunately, I don’t see any more arms.
Unity currently has a right arm, not a left.
Little creatures of love, with two arms and two legs…
That pun was offal! A real stinker!
Why not four legs and six arms? Unity can put the cat ears back on and add an anteater’s tail, just to change her look.
Unity wouldn’t want to have six arms – four-armed is forewarned.
Y’know, I can’t tell by looking back. I think Unity’s gotten herself a right foot, but some of the pictures of her make it look like a left foot.
If you don’t like which foot Unity has, you can always give the entire comic a horizontal flip.
I have enough of that trouble with manga.

This not the first time Remy has turned up unexpectedly and presented Unity with an assortment of appendages.
