There is clearly something wrong with my brain’s idea of romantic music, because as soon as I saw the last panel I started hearing “Suddenly” by Angry Anderson. A song I don’t even like which is associated with a couple who broke up in an Australian soap I only saw because my sister used to watch it.
I’ll join the chorus of fans whose reaction is “FINALLY!”
Also, it makes sense to me that it was Nick who kissed Ginny, and not vice-versa. Ginny has a history of second- and third- and fourth-guessing herself and being too preoccupied with what everyone else thinks of her (or what she assumes they think of her) to make the first move. But Nick has a history of figuring things out about himself, saying “This is who I am”, and then living into it.
But she DID bring the wine, change into a cleavage-showing blouse, and manage to get him alone where other folks couldn’t barge in. How much more does a girl have to do?
That rose might have gone a good way towards emboldening a guy who was only used to Manischewitz.

I too am excited for Nick & Virginia. The comic has shown them fitfully advancing in their awkward romance, from both sides. It weirds me out how the comments seem to be happy only for Nick.
