Zombie Garden Gnome
Shaenon: Here’s one of my non-Skin Horse (but thematically related) projects. My husband Andrew and I wrote the booklet that comes with this tiny desktop-sized Zombie Garden Gnome. And here he is rampaging in my own vegetable garden! This is now one of Robin’s favorite toys and there is no way that will have any kind of negative long-term impact.
Channing: I think you’re safe with the ones that already look evil. That way they won’t turn evil in an ironic twist.

I think Shaenon means that Robin will always continue to associate with zombies, whether it’s Unity, Con attendees, or in the apocalypse.
I preordered! Who is the sculptor, and do they also sculpt zombie Patchwork Girls?
You know that with a sharp utility knife, some really good glue, a few hours’ work, and two Barbie dolls (one caucasian, one black), you could always make yourself a Unity doll…

I absolutely hate zombies. I am utterly sick to death of zombies (pun deliberately intended), as is my roomie Darkstarr, and I think I’m going to buy each of us one. Maybe even a third one for our other roomie Reki as well. We all appreciate really weird things (maybe that’s why I like Shaenon so much…), and this is definitely weird.
Come to think of it, does Archie McPhee know about these? If not, someone should let them know ASAP! (www.mcphee.com IIRC…)
Time to change my FB profile picture *back* to a zombie gnome.
I think a steel-blade lawn edger and a 4′ pole would probably be an adequate defense as I don’t think they’d have much of a vertical jump. Canvas pants tied at the cuff, and boots, would probably be the reasonable attire.
Do they learn their dance moves from people in bomb disposal suits?

I have an infestation of gnomes already, but I have to say that this one is the bestest gnome I’ve seen in a long time! (never turn your back on a gnome… they aren’t to be trusted… especially THIS guy).
